Noticed that as well. There's a mod (an INI tweak, actually) which supposedly improves car handling. Tried that prior 2.0, but bikes became undrivable. As that's the only means of transportation I use(d) (besides the race quest), I uninstalled it again.

One thing I noticed in my new run: there seem to be a lot more gang members/wanted hanging around in act 1 then previously. I constantly run into them now when driving from A to B.

Not sure yet I like the changes to the skill/perks tree. It feels more confusing than the pre 2.0.

Starting to get a feel for it now i've played a few more hours (eg Just finished act 1....) and get the feeling that calling it a "perk" tree is incredibly accurate and you can probably complete the game well enough without spending a single point in any tree. But when you do, you get to be a bad ass cyber-ninja so lets do that xD

Perks are build enablers. Guns are cheaper to update, and keep relevant compared to old system.
Real potency now is in Cyberware.
Why is it called earth, when it is mostly water???

moreso than say around launch? because cyberware was silly and you didn't even have to drop perks into it much to just turn up and mass melt people's brains...

I am about to start the DLC, was messing around. I think I like it, but perk tree is bit abstract. On the skill side, I am blasting trough headhunter and netruner. I was looking how to skill up other ones, found a minefield all the way east on the end of the highway and breezed trough 35 levels of engineering.

Cybernetics is a whole new thing now. Almost the sole source of armor.
And you have a cap on how much you can use. Kinda like Humanity Cost from the PNP game.

Finished Phantom Liberty, definitely on a level with Hearts of Stone from W3 when it comes to story and characters. Not really spoilers, but I'll spoiler it anyway:
      Spoiler:
Depending on your choices (and there are quite a few, the DLC has 4 endings), you'll unlock a new ending for the base game. And fuck me, I needed a shower after that one.

After many days into Phantom Liberty, Hands will contact you about a kidnapping.
This starts the gig Dazed and Confused.

Take your time and treasure this ride with the crazy train.

I'm running a super cheesy Dual Yinglong w/SubMachine Fun and Overclocked cyber deck.
That SMG is so OP, and now it is craftable so you can get duplicates..

Yinglong got 20% for a EMP pulse that does insane crit damage.

Reflex, Spice of Life - Aim bonus when swapping to a SMART weapon
Reflex, SubMachine Fun - Faster weapon swap and with a full mag + huge ROF bonus
Militech Paraline deck, +40% electric damage when Overclocked

I haven't found any other iconic SMGs yet in my current run. But judging by my previous runs, I guess I'll stick with Fenrir again.

    Which one do you want?
Yinglong is from a NCPD mission, dropped by the animals in the shape of a crafting spec.

Roughly in this area (should be only NCPD there)

Could actually be a 3.0 or whatever because lots of side shit doesn't get resolved, unless it will somehow tie into a sequel with world_state=mess V made in 2077.

Game's good but static gigs and jobs still break otherwise near perfect immersion, i'd rather fixers ring me up semi-randomly depending on level instead of checking markers via map when i feel like it. Same with NCPD and psychos.
Overall progression feels tighter than in 1.0 with leveling being more about specialization but weapon damage is still leRPG with tier 1 being four times weaker than 5.
Oh and it's 2057 in my headcanon, would work much better imo.

Oh man that's straight up bullshit - got a text (from panaaam) and three reply variants take the entire space so i can't read anything in the thread! Thankfully it doesn't matter, idk why they even bothered with SMS convos.

I was a bit confused why nothing everything I loot was appearing to sell, then noticed that most weapons and most clothes ; armours get auto-broken down as soon as I loot them. Is it possibel to turn this odd ? I can see why, but it's confusing and annoying.

(i'm only level 7, no perks taken to help enable this)

I think its just most of the guns you loot off dead bodies are "broken" through them losing combat. So you just get parts. I think. Loot balance things I guess.

When you hover over the guns, if it says broken it will be auto dismantled.

    None actually.

I like Fenrir and its burn damage. I tried various other SMGs in the previous runs, but kept returning to Fenrir.

Unrelated and a bit spoilery for those who have just started
      Spoiler:

What I find kinda sad is the fact that now that I know how the story progresses, I'm looking forwatd to Jackie's death as I then get access to his bike and guns. I tried various cars - actually all of them (at that time) after I finished my first run. But it's so much easier to zip through NC's traffic with a bike than with a car.
