It really is a shame that it's pretty much impossible to have news media be unbiased and popular at the same time.
Or is that US news media really.... I have this glorious image that Swedish news media (TV at least) is as impartial as is possible. At least none of the channels would ever allow some über douche like Bill fuckitwelldoitlive O'Rilley stay on the air.

It's not impossible, it's just because US networks are a product rather than a public service. From that perspective there's nothing wrong with them.

I know our BBC is only the shining beacon it is because of how it's funded. Which is odd because in theory it has every potential to go the other way.

Did nothing yesterday afternoon despite the sunshine because wife was feeling lazy. Was so bored I wound up playing EVE ffs. Now it's kinda grey and damp today

so i forgot to post this the other day but i was a simulated patient for medical osces on tuesday, which involved me pretending to be a gay policeman with gonorrhoea. i was going to ask ralara for some protips on being gay, but i forgot.
was jokes as fuck telling all the fit girl medical students that "yeah i've sucked off/been sucked off by like 4 dudes in the last 3 months and also bum my regular partner on the regs"

On the other hand, swedish media are the fucking knights of political correctness, and lots of shows and views are chosen on the basis that the guys in the background are associated with the political parties

Not saying we are worse then the 'mericans, but we still have some bad stuff and rapport/aktuelt both have started to completely remove any sort of analysis/background/extended info about what they report in favor of short quick "look at this bad/good thing!" kind of news casting

Got a short day at work as I'm off to the dentist not long after dinner. Not looking forward to it as it's been about 10 years since I was there last and I have about 3 or 4 teeth that need fillings and I know it's going to cost me a lot to get that done.

After that I've got a whole lot of tidying and packing to do as it looks like I'm moving house this weekend, or at least starting to.

True. At least they always need to follow the equal time for both sides deal. And I'd rather take the current bland reporting before the RAWRAWRAWR preachings of the nutters used as the extreme examples.
