Issue was, was that one team from one alliance or a "Purple" team (as Paradox alluded to in the comments thread).
Looks like from our ceo's correspondence, we have to pick one side or the other and not mix it up.
Result of which is shutting out people on the other side who have been prepping hard, after we initially got CCP to confirm that RvB would be excluded from the B & C team rule.

If they had said this to us a few weeks ago we could have jumped sides before the deadline, but CCP flipflopped on us in the past day or so.
so the rvb team there is actually only the Red Federation alliance?
shrug I would just have let both blue and red fly under the same team, seems fine to me even if it would technically be "wrong" since they aren't in the same alliance
