I'm not saying 25 is terrible or anything, its just that the last few weeks have barely gone above 10c and on one day it got close to snowing in May.

Quietly stressing about hubby's visit to the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to figure out why he is having so much pain in his replaced hip. Most likely reason given the timing (5 years since it was replaced), onset of symptoms, and intensity of pain is that the prosthesis itself is failing in the characteristic way for the particular Dupuy metal-on-metal product he has. Which likely means a revision (another replacement) with all its scary potential complications is in the cards very soon. Followed by 8 weeks of recovery time during which no driving is allowed. Which means no going to work. Which means after the initial discomfort settles out, my hubby will be mentally climbing the walls because his brain is always in overdrive. Sigh. I hope they give him realllllly good drugs. I might have to take them myself. Fortunately, he has good health insurance and would have 25 weeks at full pay for short term disability so I won't have to listen to constant fretting about money. If the doc thinks surgery is required and can be scheduled soon, am hoping that he'll write an order for hubby to stop going to work so that the disability stuff can kick in and he can just lie around in a drugged stupor until surgery can happen.

I should just chill out until we know something from his doc visit tomorrow but having been through this once before, that's difficult--especially when husband is majorly freaking out after doing research on complications from hip revisions while moaning in pain. He doesn't really want to talk, or be touched...he just wants to withdraw. He did laugh though when I boob-flashed him and said, "Hon, when it all starts seeming too scary, just think of these."

Sigh. Probably shoulda posted this whine in the emo thread but oh well. Gonna go walk with my dogs, have eggs and toast for breakfast, then get lost as much as possible in paint and loud somber music today, I guess.

I'm sure he'll be fine Mynxee, would probably be pointless to say don't stress out too much but hey I'll say it anyway, don't stress out too much. I just had a mate text me after he had surgery to remove his top left rib because it was disrupting circulation to his left arm, he said it all went well and there were no complications so I might go in and see him tomorrow.

Also my grandmother had both knees replaced and I believe she got some pain and she just said what she always says "Ahh I'll just wack some Arnica on there"

So all will be fine
