Heh, a forum for my Gaming Society in university did something similar a few years back, actually with My Little Pony pictures and stuff now that I recall. I guess we were trendsetters.
We set the main theme to a pink one, and posted loads of pictures of My Little Poany (Pre-FIM Poanies) to the front page. Earned us much bitching from the guys who were browsing at work.
Yellow-green or yellow, not both. Try to make more use of different shades and tones of each color, rather than a different color entirely, to define borders and it would come out looking much better.
Is ocular AIDS a real thing? I think I got it. :S
By the way, you can try it out, it's the FHCTEST2 theme.
