Down almost 9%, swinging between -8.7% & -8.4% with about 10 minutes to go on the day, not expecting much of a rally to save it. Cant wait to bust my boss's balls when he comes in tomorrow "Buy Facebook, My buddy at Goldman Sacks says its gonna be a huge money maker, a sure thigng" no your buddy at goldman sacks is playing you like the gullible dipshit you are.

and I bet you'll use those exact words

GOOGLE was a sure thing - and my god, did I try to get my mum to invest a couple of K in it - but she didn't (and being my age at the time, I had no RL isk to throw at it). She regrets it now.

Facebook - lol. Would not touch.
Hello? Oh, hello! I'm sorry it's a very bad line. No, no no... but that's not possible, she was sealed in to the Seventh Obelisk after the prayer meeting. Well, no, I get that it's important... an Egyptian Goddess loose on the Orient Express. In Space. Give us a mo....

... don't worry about a thing, your Majesty; we're on our way.

I have to cover the short, how much you will get depends on its performance

They have to drive the price down so all the big wigs can buy stock back to show faith in themselves and their company.

whatever you think of the guy, you gotta admit, he is having a pretty good year.

    - sold $1.1b of shares
    - CEO of company with third biggest IPO ever
    - still holds majority of shares worth $15-20b
    - and got married this month to his teen sweetheart. dawww.

I think the main thing I'm getting from this thread is that most of you would judge your public share performance based on just a few days of trading. Unless you're hedge fund or similar, you wouldn't buy shares and hold them for a few days and then sell them again. You'd buy into something like facebook for the long-term. Since the firm hasn't even published a quarterly statement yet you can't make any real judgement about the long-term value of the shares based on a few days of trades. The first couple of years worth of results will ultimately dictate where it goes, and if FB can demonstrate the kind of revenue growth it has over the last few years in those statements then it will rise again.
