Must be active during UK, NA (east) or NA (west) hours.
Must speak English.
Must have access to Ventrilo with a working mic/headset.
Must have recent killboard activity.
Must have a minimum of 20 Million SP Minimum.
Must be able to pilot T2 Cruisers / T3 Cruisers (preferably) / T1 Battlecruisers / T2 Frigates / T1 Battleships.
Must have a 80% ISK efficiency and up (If not 80%, then proof of solo career).
Must have proof of Solo and/or Small Gang warfare (blob warfare does not count).
Must have a Negative (below -5) Security Status.
Must engage in a T1 Frigate 1v1 against a member of Heretic Army to demonstrate skills.

I suppose that depends on what you're looking for in a Corp/alliance. Granted, -A- is #1 on BC.. but it's a completely different dynamic from what we do.

I've been out of EVE for quite a while so correct me if I'm wrong, but -A- is a 0.0 alliance.. which is a completely different ball-game from low-sec pirating.

So really the answer would be "It depends on what you want.."

I would like to say one thing though about that. Heretic Nation, much like any other alliance in Eve, has pilots that spend their ingame time doing different things. In Nation, most of the time, the majority of the pilots camp gates because either the lack of coordination or the lack of gf's in system. The continual destructive cycle of "he who bringeth most, wins most" I would believe everyone suffers from.

i did get a series of decent fights from griz and also some on the fly teamups to kill others.

Why are you/they even in corp/alliance then? What does it offer those that don't want to camp 1 system? Other than BLOPs/hotdrops?

Why try to defend it? Everyone knows a good chunk of our corp/alliance camp the gate, its not like its changed in the last x number of years. We do, however, have more things going on than camping gates in Legions. I personally find it hard to camp for a meaningful amount of time without trying to end my life through boredom.

And how are you going to get GFs in system if you don't let people in? Why not just be on grid with the gates but not remote sebo instalock all the things with logi support and orca exploits?

I have no problem finding gfs in and around Amamake. My point was it wouldn't matter if there was 1 or 100 people in our corp who camp the gate constantly, Heretic Army are always going to be 'that corp that camps the Osso gate 24/7'.
