Edit: And see, this is how these things spread. Everyone knows someone who has "supposedly" seen it working or has a friend who has a friend who totally got rich of it. There is no verified information anywhere, and the screenshot being used to "prove" gold duping exists was posted by a dude on reddit who literally said this: "Herpderp, I can photoshop too, look:" and then posted the image of 15 trillion gold. Totally taken out of its context and people are being really really dumb about this. /o\
Took me all of 10 minutes to do some searches and come up with the evidence to show it was a hoax. People need to read before perpetuating a stupid hoax like this.

So the server was down for a while with no message or anything. Now there's a message on the login page that they're performing maintenance at 5 - 6 am tomorrow but they don't say what timezone that's in. I can't log in because apparently there's a patch I need to download but the patcher says my game is up to date.

I've completely hit a wall with grouping. I'm down with grouping with melees, but simply cannot handly any DH/Wizz partners as a Barbarian right now as they seem to run away from everything. So a Champion pack appears, one agros them and they fuck off to kite it around, leaving the other eleventybillion on me.

Anyway cleared all of Act2 on Hellmode yesterday being bad and untwinked. Here is a story.. no - here is THE story of my Stunlock Barbarian:
Got bored of a defensive build yesterday after getting lucky with a few drops and adding 25% to my Deeps and swapped to a more offensive, but more controlling build.
Except for bosses, i've found this to be really excellent for clearing Act2 including champion / elite packs There is still he odd combination that will push you into a rage, but in general it will destroy anything.

Basically you need enough Health / Armour to into a pack and trigger all the Damage boosting abilities, kick out a stun, and get to work. Again you need enough buffer health (i think it was around 25k @ 56) to give you reaction time to fire up ignore pain (try to couple it with revenge) or Ground Stomp & Legit!
Dual wielding 2x fast weapons seems to give a more effective stunlock from frenzy, effectively taking you primary target out of the fight. because of that, focus on the biggest dude first, and let secondary effects such as revenge kill the smaller chaps. not sure if this is false economy and the stuns are normalized against weapon speed though.
Fro champions, just fire up Wrath of the Berserker and go mental on them, Giving it some Ignore Pain if you can't be arsed moving out of the nasty pools (Bad idea).
Damage progression is something like this:
Basic DPS: 4900. DPS at full Fury (Note: no fury using abilities, so pretty much full time) 6200 -> DPS when Surrounded (note: all the time)= 8k -> Burst with WotB = 19k
The only real downsides are:
- Very Limited Range Control. Ground Stomp helps, but you do have to run about a bit.

- You gotta play solo.
The reason for the last part is simple - the way the current Mob Damage scales, you get utterly buggered by everything as a group. eg: Champion spawn, you try to tank them all, one gets back to the ranged chums, they have to kite it or get one shot, leaving you with 4 really angry dudes with tripple HP and double damage.

Going to go back to it for Act 3 tonight with another similarly geared Barbarian. Will let you know how i get on. I suspect there will be lots of DEAD! I may try to fraps some though for fun, if ic an find enough HDD space through all the porn.

Hah, sorry didn't mean to be rude. I blew through most of hell with a level 60 weapon (with level reduction), but I admit some champ packs that I absoloutly could not kite still gave me trouble (phase beasts with teleport).
When playing with barb buddy on my wiz, I'll often help him out by kiting away half a pack so he can deal with the rest. While a full champ pack might be untankable for him, he can go toe-to-toe with 1 or 2, frenzy them down, and join up with me to finish the rest.

The worst is their wording in a lot of responses regarding things that should be in the game.
They always word it like "we'd like to have this in game", and it just comes across as them not knowing how to actually do it.

But opening the RMAH so soon after a number of really stupid exploits/bugs were uncovered by players, as well as even before the 1.03 rebalance patch let alone the big 1.1 or whatever when they're redoing classes...
It's just...ugh.
I'm not one of those morons demanding a refund because I've spent $60 (well through the WoW annual pass) and gotten over 200 hours of gameplay. While some of that was fucking terrible, there's still enough in there to justify it even in the beta stage it's in.
But fuck, I dunno.
