    Actually, this is an old one and could be done through the AH too. Key point to note: it wasn't an actual dupe, because the items were ghost clones that couldn't be sold, traded or dropped without dissapearing. They were essentially after images of a trade. I haven't seen any actual duping methods that work yet.
    In the video it looks like they salvage the items and trade the mats back.

    Is it wrong that I want Disintegrate to be viable in inferno as I'm starting to hate needing to kite everything with magic missile and arcane orbs? :wrists:

    Maybe if they allowed direction keys to enable you to move whilst shooting?...

    I'm done with Diablo for now until the patch. I just had a DH in my game with all blue equipment, 2 wasted stats per gear piece and all tier 14 gear who was further in Act 3 than me, simply by going lolol shoot off screen herp derp.

    I've got near perfect stats and really good gear, and while I CAN progress, it's a fraction of the speed or ease as ranged classes. Not mad, just a little bored of dying, so will wait till 1.03.

    Find yourself a barb to stand in front of you so you don't need to kite as much :P

    Been trying out a 2h barb, raping elite packs down in 8sec just doesn't get old. Shame its only act 1

    What a silly idea. And then what? Give monks and barbs dualwield and make them melee?

    My other half feels the same. Barb with decent gear, 19% string, helm of command and a lantern gets raped by act 3 stuff. Having to spend 1mil to get an extra 10 res all is quite painful as well.

    If its any consolation on the dying front my glass cannon DH dies all the time :P Mostly to walking round corners and getting a spear in the face from those fucking goats.

    Yeah, playing as wiz with barb friend is nice. Disintegrate rapes those annoying wasps in a2.
    Wonder how much gold I need for a good 1h weapon to replace my current 981 dps staff with 120 int/vit and a socket (crit dmg). Probably a lot because I don't have a good offhand either.
    Also bought a cheap shield with nice stats/resists and 6.5 crit for fun. Will see how it plays with one, too bad my best 1h is only 662 dps with 220 int.

    Sometimes I enjoy playing this game. Then I try to do act2 and scrape through it. Out the door on act 3 and I can't get up the stairs. If I have to farm butcher over and over at least drop some fucking items that aren't level 55 >.>

    Wizard with 26k DPS, 30k HP, ~300-400 resists in Act3 and getting through with the occasional death. Teleport/fracture + illusionist is the only reason why (obv force armour is obv). Not sure I'd call the skill broken but it's basically all that keeps me from getting completely raped. Can handle virtually all elite spawns, only bad combos of fast + already fast or other ridiculous shit is a no-no.

    Worst example: A must-pass elite mob on a narrow section with extra-hp + horde + invuln + reflect and something else buggery. Completely fubar.

    See, it's exactly this that makes it so unbearable to be a Monk right now. Those stats of yours? Not even act 2 worthy, and yet you're progressing.

I have 100k gold to my name, only need to grind 29.9 mill more in act 2 unless I can continue in act 3.

    Again, not raging but definitely frustrated. 1.03 will thankfully fix most of my concerns (with promised Monk balance in the patch after that) like spike damage, melee/ranged disparity, ilvl 63 loot dropping in lower acts and guaranteed rare from champ packs.

    Not fun to be a Monk right now. Even Barbs have it easier right now, due to their abilities scaling off gear. (Monk abilities are a lot of flat values which can't be increased by anything but level..)

    Every game I've ever picked up that has multiple classes, even including Eve, has involved me picking the worst class ever at launch.
    Therefor Barbs must be terrible.


    Though playing with Wizz/DH mates, they die hilariously often now where I am pretty solid. Dodging those charging bull things and watching them get oneshot is awesum fun.

    Not worthy as in not a cakewalk. It's not like I glitched through anything, killed everything including Belial through insane dancing around and kiting. Afaik you can get 60k+ DPS with equivalent gear you have, at which point Act 2 becomes a non-issue.

    The only thing that keeps me alive is teleport + fracture, combined with illusionist and force armour and crystal skin. If they change/remove any of those, it becomes impossible. It means most hits will be reduced to 35% of max health (up to 100% of HP is reduced in this way afaik, so 30k HP with 50k HP hit = 20k dmg + 30k*0.35 = still dead I think!).

    Crystal skin (22k dmg absorb) + force armour means you survive a hit or two. Illusionist means any hit more than 15% HP (so in inferno ALL hits) resets teleport immediately. So you can always dance away IF you don't die in 1 shot. It still takes a lot of skill to do this, one mistake and you die

    Killed inferno diablo yesterday with my DH... not that good gear either, 43k dps without SS, have got only couple upgrades since act1 so it shows how DH's wont need gear. Though some more dps would help lot with bosses, allowing to skip hard phases. Trash is pretty easy though I am dieing LOT to one shots when anything touches me, that gets very tiring. Also bosses are really hard as glasscannon dh. Spend like 20 hours over weekend wiping to various bosses in act3 and act4, each boss needed proper tactics and perfect play, I am sure melee classes have it MUCH easier on bosses. Well DH's could surely go more defensive too but dex gear with resist stats is far too expensive as also monks use it.

    Good example is Shadow Clones in Diablo boss 2nd phase. They spawn at start of phase, then 66% and 33% health. They active instantly when spawning and one shot glasscannon DH unless DH has 1.5 sec SS running. Popping SS when seeing Shadow Clone spawn is too late, gotta learn to time SS from moment Diablo disappears.

    Mate, you shouldn't even have been able to DO Act 2 with those stats, if things were equal between the classes.

    I didn't mean to imply it was a cakewalk for you, I simply stated the way the game currently works is that there are a few minimum entry stats for melee required per act to even make it possible with an equal level of skill.

    A barb or a monk CANNOT (not even with the best kiting or stutterstepping) do Act 2 until he has a certain amount of stats. The brick wall barrier is just too huge, you simply get oneshot just like any DH/Wizard might. The difference is: due to the melee component, you can't even force your way through content by "eroding" enemies down (which is the current tactic for ranged classes) by doing damage, dying, rinse repeat. You die before you get close and therefore don't do any damage.

    Same with Act 3, but the barrier is much less balanced than Act 2. See, you can reach your minimum stats for act 2 with act 1 gear, but it's utterly unviable as a Monk to get the stats required to do Act 3 with act 2 gear. Causing a bit of an issue in terms of "well, what the fuck do I do now..."

    Anyway, this will be addressed in 1.03, so it's all good. Just hoping they hurry up and release it sometime soon. v0v

    Hardcore says numbing dart is better because the 3-shot binds you to a stationary location for far longer

    Why are you stuck and where with that gear? Should be good enough to clear act4 with those stats. Compared to my monk in start of act3 (stuck there) you have like 4x effective health and even with my bad gear I can still kill first trash just barely, just champion packs are no-go, even ones with easy special abilites.
