Theres a exploit around to make your wizard unkillable. something about using teleport and afterwards archon armor in fast succesion while hovering your mouse over your char.

Starter edition should be free by now, iirc you only needed a guest pass for the first 30 days after release.

Torchlight 2 comes out soon, get that instead. Or Path of Exile which looks really promising.

People are right though. I think I probably got my 50 bucks out of this game, but more as inspiration than as genuine fun. Big parts are just wrong. Plot/balance especially.

Called it. I would love to say I didn't but I called it so hard.
Now that we got the mandatory douchbaggery out of the way, I hope that Blizz will pull a 180° turnaround on the game when they release an expansion pack or a massive patch, because due to their fucking "We will make this game so varied that everybody can play as anything and always respec and use any weapon he/she wants because were cool like that" design policy, they messed up the endgame so hard that the only reason to play this is seriously the Auction House... but of course, you cannot sell anything in a game that noone wants to play.
*sigh*
And I am angry because this game deserves to be so much better.
It will probably be OK after one or two expansions. Make more varied drops, fix uniques/sets, add more customization possibilities, rebalance inferno a bit and it should be ~good. Of course if they have to keep RMAH working then good item hunting experience is probably not gonna happen. Oh well.

Basic game is just boring. Its 2012 now, not 1998. Rolling new classes carries only so far, when every alt has to grind same content four times to reach end game, which itself is grinding same content again and again... it gets extremely boring. WoT is lot better game for fast casual gaming (multiplayer etc), and for more serious gaming there is wow and likes. Wonder if should try to cash out my chars gear, but doubt got much anything worth real money.
From my friends list, there are still 5-15 people playing it every night.
There is lots of :bitter: about it but there is little that needs forum posturing about being ~elite~ any more, so this thread is gently drifting down the list. Combine that with (RM)Ah tinfil posturing and you have a wonderful concoction of tears to harvest every time you open a D3 thread still though.
It's still miles ahead of Torchlight2 (not played PoE). Anyoen who claims otherwise is foolish at best

Game is fucking great, if you want to take part in this glorious gaming experience id heavy hearted would sell my account for 40€ including 2x60 chars and euipment well worth over 200€ (if there would be still someoine left to buy it).
at least i made a bit paypal money with it, but thats not a game.... more like working. In the end i played just to sell things in the rmah, not my particular definition of fun.
