There are words I would use to describe that art style, and "anime" is not one of them.

It reminds me more of Duke Nukem Forever than anything else.

What's the fun in getting old used cartoon porn games. You want them while they are young fresh and innocent so you can corrupt their development.

And off I go to purge my keyboard history again.

Not a Kickstarter, but Steam Early Access (EA). But this seems to be the most fitting thread for my post.

Ostriv has been released as EA in the past week or so. From the looks of it, it has a very Banished like vibe going on. The economy is significant more complex than in Banished, e.g. the production chains are longer and there's interaction with neighboring villages/towns.

My question is (and the reason for this post): has anyone played it and want to share his thoughts?

Looks nice, I would also be curious of its gameplay. Banished is good but easy.

Just noticed that this was missing from this thread:

    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...tery-adventure

Chinatown Detective Agency: Globetrotting Mystery Adventure

A cybernoir adventure inspired by the classic Carmen Sandiego games.

Gonna somewhat necro this one, as it fits here. Apparently this is a thing: Arms Trade Tycoon: TANKS

A unique combination of tank design and tycoon game. Create, build, sell and follow your tanks in battle to make your own history!

    In name only.

In 1998, following an unsuccessful buyout attempt by GT Interactive Software, the struggling MicroProse (Spectrum HoloByte) became a wholly owned subsidiary of Hasbro Interactive and its development studios in Alameda, California and Chapel Hill, North Carolina were closed the following year. In 2001, MicroProse ceased to exist as an entity and Hasbro Interactive sold the MicroProse intellectual properties to Infogrames Entertainment, SA. MicroProse UK's former main office in Chipping Sodbury was closed in 2002, followed by the company's former headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland in 2003.

The brand was revived in 2007 when Interactive Game Group acquired it from Atari Interactive, formerly Infogrames. The MicroProse brand was licensed to the Legacy Engineering Group for consumer electronics. Cybergun owned the MicroProse brand from 2010 to 2018, which was then acquired by David Lagettie working with Stealey.

Still their current output are small gems like Highfleet which I highly recommend.

Then there's this cause of massive hardon for every Harpoon veteran (you're too young too know what that is)

Not tired of WW2 yet, then there's this

They're doing ok and they can have the name as far as I'm concerned.

Any game dev still around from the early 90s might as well be an entirely different company anyhow.
