EBOLA still camp the Khabi gate in 7Q after some four (?) years. Give them a little time and they will reship to one logi for each of your dps ships, plus ecm as garnish. If they can't will prob just leave you alone. Is a decent fight if you catch them off guard though and don't stay too long.

Best part of GW is it's proximity to the land of guaranteed (UStz) fights, Molden Heath.

Fight happened in scalding pass, but whatever, close enough to wicked creek to count.

So yesterday I was up late so decided to join the UStz ppl on a fleet filling that all important narcoleptic keres role. The fleet was just your regular nullsec kiting fleet, oracles for dps, cerb for anti-tackle, lach, rapier, keres, sabre, inty, for support, and 2 scimi's for logi.

Having scouted the area around curse it all was rather quiet, and since these entosis link thingies are apparently all the rage and PFR was only a few hops away we decided to annoy them a bit.

As we came into system PFR had put forth an offering in the form of a gila sitting a couple of hundred clicks off gate. Vania got tackle on and our little fleet entered and we humbly accepted this kind gesture by blowing up the gila. A few ships warped in to greet us as well, but unfortunately they got caught in our defensive bubble and thus landed a quite a bit off. After they verified that we had accepted their offering they buggered off before we could introduce ourselves properly.

As such we set out for their home station and started applying this entosis link thingy. PFR undocked a couple of ships to see what all the ruckus was about, and the usual stand-off and perfunctionary courting dance happened. With them undocking battleships and assorted other ships that we would then fire upon, at which point they docked as soon as they got into any real danger.

But just as PFR started to show a little bit of leg, dared to move of the undock in a vaguely threatening manner the ceremony was rudely interrupted by gorgon empire in a ~10 man arty munnin gang. Like a shy fluffy animal who is just considering whether or not to sniff your hand as you stretch it out towards it, the landing gorgon gang scared them back towards their undock where they looked on in relative safety.

Since this was rude, we decided to engage gorgon.

It was actually a quite enjoyable fight. As the keres pilot I had a lot of fun annoying the utter shit out of the rapier pilot. Beyond some missing pot shots there wasn't really much they could do about this, they also didn't have the tackle to force me off, and as such keres > rapier. So after a few minutes they decided they couldn't effectively trade and extracted by scattering. Ivan our inty pilot being who he is managed to catch a few of them in an astroid belt and we managed to kill a few more.

Then we went back to the PFR station and re-entered the ceremonial stand-off. Over the course of another hour or so we got engaged upon by PFR about 3 times before I had to leave because I fucked up and it was 3:30am so I should probably head to bed anyway. The general gist of what PFR brought was mostly caracals, t1 logi, throw away tackle and e-war. And then the occasional kitchen sink ship.

No chest beating 0 losses result, just a very enjoyable prolonged engagement with PFR where we both traded ships. gf PFR and gorgon.

I poked around GW for a trip down memory lane, place was all empty except for some EBOLA monkeys being utterly shit at gate camping. All the stations system seem dead, are there people living at POSes or is this vast area of space simply uninhabited? Used to quite a bit of action here back in days

I lived in there for quite some time and I was truely shocked when I logged back last years fall. I went the lane down to Scalding once or twice for some scanning and met literally just a handfull of people (WH corp funny enough). Station systems were, yeah, dead.

Detorid is seeing some regular action between Triumvirate/Friends and TEST alliance. Today was no exception

    http://evf-eve.com/services/brcat/?s...&e=109&t=b&r=1

Round 1 vs test, pretty bloody. we were about 2-5 logi short of tanking at the start (brought 15). TEST kept primarying our logi the entire time while we burned cerbs, but we had rapid lights so we would burst kill 3-5 cerbs than sit there with our dicks out for 30 seconds. I really really regret not using HAMs in that engagement, probably could have won without most our losses

TEST came back again with T3s and triage, and we fought a round 2. I dont think they were expecting us to have dreads ready to rock as soon as they cyno'd in.

Wouldnt heavy missiles work pretty well considering they had a nice buff last year? That way you get much more range then ham's, still good dps, and way better damage vs smaller/faster targets

HML's are good... with the proper application of webs and paints.
The character of Johnny Appleseed was based on Brasky, except for the part about planting apple trees and not raping men.

Two rounds of intense fighting tonight vs TEST over PQRE IHUB/Station

IHUB was successfully taken by TRI, the station was repped by TEST alts while we were fighting because ~fozziesov~ mechanics. All fights took place on gates independent of any entosis nodes. Both times TRI bridged into PQRE right before TEST came in from next door, forcing them to jump their HML cerb fleet into our HAM cerb fleets at 0. GFs were had

    Round 1 - http://evf-eve.com/services/brcat/?s...=90&t=evvb&r=1
    87 Vanguard - HAM Cerbs
    vs
    122 TEST - HML Cerbs
3.6b lost lost by Vanguard, 10.4b lost by TEST

    Round 2 - http://evf-eve.com/services/brcat/?s...=70&t=bbae&r=1
72 Vanguard Co - HAM Cerbs
    vs
105 TEST Co - HML Cerbs
1.86b lost by Vanguard, 7.5 lost by TEST.
We almost won a flawless victory in round 2 while outnumbered, except for a couple ships killed while not with the fleet (entosing, traveling etc), and a couple allied cerbs that didnt broadcast for reps in battle

It's been a long time since I've done one of these - my apologies if it's a little rough, or

    Preamble:
      Spoiler:

    3/24 - WO-GCO, Scalding Pass & Surroundings

Recently, my RL brother and myself have had circumstances align such that we can ~free ourselves from the shackles of sovereignty~ and attempt to have some fun with what little time is left in the game. We've taken an extremely small core group of friends who've been playing with us for a while and decided to do the impossible - strike out on our own and attempt to get the midsize ~gudfites~ that seem to be oh so gone from eve in today's day and age.

    Our alliance: Forsaken Empire

Some of the older players (at least where this is posted on FHC) may recognize that name from a long-dead alliance run by a long-inactive/quit player by the name of Krullz. Krullz was my first CEO in all of Eve. He has quite a history, which ties in very well to the now-ancient era of 05/06 eve, but that's a post for another thread. The point being, our alliance is intentionally steeped in nostalgia and history; I have a long history of being a "bittervet," predating the vast majority of eve players still playing. Most of my friends have long since quit, moved on, or are barely logging in while in various retirement homes around eve. The game is dying, and we can't change that.

What we can do, is spend what time we have left attempting to find the content that we find enjoyable. For now, that places us in northern scalding pass, waging a war with another group that, coincidentally, also has a long and storied past in eve.

    Our adversaries.

Quote alliance, while relatively unremarkable from the outside, contains the corporation "Providing of the first medical aid." While I know little about the corp itself, I recognize the name, and recognize the alliances it was a member of.

Shadow of xXDeathXx. Stainless. Inver Brass. Solar Fleet.

All old names, all either defunct, or mere shadows of their former selves, much like the game itself.

We originally moved in and quickly took sov over WO-GCO with limited resistance from the hostiles. I do not believe they intended for us to show with as much veracity as we did, leveraging our superior SP, Isk, and skill to resist their defense attempts with a small fleet of 4-5 lokis + entosis alts compromising a grand total of 4 or so real people vs their drekevacs/jackdaws.

This allowed us to put an astra down to stage out of without going through the 1 week anchoring timer.

Things have largely been a TZ war since then, with us unfortunately losing sov as we are unable to resist their batphones/coalition(?) outside of USTZ when we have nearly everyone...until recently.

    Long-Form Fight BR/Narrative:
      Spoiler:

On 3/22 (or thereabouts) Quote decided to anchor an astra almost on grid with ours and RF our astra for the second time since we put it down. We formed for our astra defense - in late USTZ - and predictably the hostiles did not appear. Having RF'd their astra a few hours after it successfully anchored, we made plans to engage in a fight on Sunday afternoon - peak hostile time, but with it being the weekend we could form strong numbers ourselves.

With more people than expected (nearly 7 iirc actual bodies on comms, thanks to an old friend of mine flying with us) we formed up in my tried and true Lotus Fleet (100mn Gilas for those not familiar).

BSOD was scouted in the area with a somewhat sizeable Sleipnir/BNI fleet, and despite apparently not being on quote's side (we learned after the fight), were hostile to us.

With Quote cowardly parking themselves on their astra, afraid to engage while we steadily made progress on their structure, we decided to stay, hoping for something of a fight, regardless of the outcome or isk risk. (We're here to get content and fight).

Unfortunately, due to being hamstrung by improper basilisk fits (Wind, my brother and JF pilot in question, had imported a very old/unused fit of mine with only a single capacitor xfer), we were unable to keep my vulture permacapped as I was neuted by the hostile astra. This allowed the hostiles to warp down on us at 0. With no cap for links, nearly everyone double through quadboxing, and my vulture not constantly burning with the fleet behind as is the usual protocol, we were cut down in rapid order by the full dps of railbrutixes at 0 (I believe at least one of my gilas was killed before I could even active the invuln).

Quote would barely engage at the end, when we were already burning away to reship at our astra.

Unfortunately for us, BSOD bailed extremely shortly thereafter, while we reformed into a heavier and more expensive comp - "Dragon Fleet" aka heavy leshaks supported by bhaalgorn, zarmazod, with triage on standby.

Right as their astra finished repairing and quote began fleeing(again), we chased down their mach fleet, killing 2 machs and a griffin before they cowarded out, realizing how lopsided the matchup was for them despite their numerical superiority.

With Quote fled in terror, we went to re-RF the hostile astra. Our scout alts noted Quote logging in supercarriers along with their french allies Toilet Paper forming a talos fleet combined with several dreads on standby.

We were able to reach out to our sometime-allies, INK/Gone Berserk for support with baiting out and destroying the hostile supers/caps.

Unfortunately for us, they jumped the gun, engaging the Toilet Paper fleet on the RYC gate without us. Toilet paper and co promptly dropped several dreads onto their triage, prompting our allies to escalate before we could get on grid.

Ink/Gone Berserk jumped in several carriers, some dreads, and one of their titan pilots decided to hit jump instead of bridge drop his girth directly onto the battlefield in a show of big balls strength.

Shocking absolutely no one, Quote & co promptly began screaming on the batphone to Frat to come bail them out while they fed several shitfit dreads. To make matters worse, there was some miscommunication with our friendly titan pilot, and he warped to a neutral astra in system, unable to tether.

We promptly warped after him, and were barely able to clear tackle for him to jump out as frat spiked system with over 100 muninns. One unfortunate thanatos was left to die, while we safely extracted our apostle + leshaks back to our astra with no losses.

After this, Frat left, Quote fed another Machariel while extracting home, after which we killed some random Toilet Paper protecting a looting occator (which we unfortunately barely missed).

This was our first relatively major fight, and I'm quite pleased we were able to come out slightly ahead/even (10.5b killed vs 10.3b lost) despite having barely 20 characters to their 50+ (not counting the frat bailout which only ended the content for everyone).

Despite feeding almost an entire gila fleet, we were able to get GFs, several kills, and continue to reinforce the sov and structures of Quote (despite us being unable to form for the astra timer in EU today, we did re-RF it immediately after the events above).

We're here to get good fights, regardless of the outcomes, the isk spent, or (most) odds stacked against us. It just goes to show that a tiny group of players can still create content and get relatively decent mid-size fights by leveraging skills & isk against numbers to a certain extent. While we can't engage the massive blobs of local superpowers like Frat, we can engage in GFs with other groups, and hope to continue to create content here until it dries up or we decide to move somewhere else for more.

If you'd like to fly in a small group of people trying to get fun content, our corporations (obligatory plug for my own corp - Everlasting Vendetta. - public channel "Oatmeal") are always looking for competent self sufficient people to fly with us while the game dies a slow death from bots, rorquals, and blobs of carebears.

We're just here to inject a little chaos and try to have fun while we still can.

Eve is dead. Long live Eve.

    I am a Lamborghini tractor.

Yes, I think we got the message, you think EVE is dead. So much so that you desided to try to recreate a now long dead alliance who was better of dead.

Let me know when you deside to have fun again
