I meant to ask you PRom, are you concerned at all that the Interceptor is being phased out as a meaningful ship option in the current climate of EVE? Seems it's speed advantage has been overcome by so many buffs to other things, making them far too fragile, and thier role has been taken away by other classes. Whats your thoughts on Inties these days?
Not really. Active tanks using cap injectors are like rocking horse shit as it is. If anything it's a boost as shield injecting doesn't stop the neut's turning off your hardeners, whereas cap injecting allows you to turn em back on.
This issue with this mod is that most likely it'll be balanced compared to active tanks, and as such will be mostly worthless as soon as you take one look at the comparable slots passive tank. But we already know active vs passive needs a massive look at.

this is a stealth nerf against people fitting heavy/med neuts and expecting to be invulnerable to frigates imo
in general it buffs active tanking frigates, because like others have said in the thread it reduces the lot requirements for an effective shield tank, and frigates are especially sarved for midlots with prop/tackle/tank

The shakeup to balance from this is going to be huge for small gang warfare in my opinion. Like nano nerf huge.
To fit in around here though I am going to go all sandy vag and say that CPU rigs were NOT the buff to offgrid T3 booster fits we needed. Fucking nerf those things already.

I think people running heavy/med neuts use them to shut down MWD/tackle to kill frigs not break the tank. If someone goes from booster/injector to fueled booster they won't be able to inject to pulse MWD, turn on tackle, etc. I think it's a buff to anti-support neut use, if anything.
I ***** hate ships with medium/heavy neuts in their utility slots (totally not looking at the cane/vaga and the pest). Just started playing again, definitely some imteresting changes. They better balance this well though![]()
I'm surprised at the CPU rigs as I'm sure I remember a dev post where they said they wouldn't do rigs as they liked there being a hard cap on one aspect of fitting. I like it though as it's going to open up quite a few fits now. Ishtar plus drone damage mod may well be 'awesome', depending on if it's mid or low slot.
