Weird thing was there was an outfit spawn with civilian clothing in it. Is that normal? I'm assuming there was a ghillie suit and someone looted it.

C, civilian clothes don't spawn as loot.

Can you really not switch to iron sights on the ANPV?

C. ACE has backup ironsights, and I think it will be in vanilla ArmA3.

I currently have both an M4 CCO and an AS50. This means my death is pretty much guaranteed within my next 30 minutes of playtime.

Situational awareness. Know where you are, know where the major travel corridors are, know where the nearest town is, know where your buddies are if you aren't running solo. Also, pay attention to your surroundings, especially sounds (turn your music off if you're playing any). Good SA allows you to be the hunter, rather than the hunted.

found and fixed me up an offroad truck took a shit load of parts but done it eventually, engine is still orange. i'm so paranoid right now since its my first vehicle that i did not derp and wasn't a bicycle or a tractor. Every weapon with a scope has backup ironsights in ACE, even if they aren't real sights but just looking over the scope.

well thats a dayZ poop on balls story. but it was only a FAL so its ok, you'll find something better on the next helicrash. from my limited experience they seem to be quite common.

well i found so many shitty fals on so many crash sites (without scope mind :P ), i found the predator gun yesterday and lost it 15mins later to some asshat with a pistol because i was careless. much worse.

I had the thermal scope of OP-ness, finding pigs has never been so easy. Now rocking the m14 SD + an AS50. The ASW is nice and all, and the thermal is ridiculous but it's shit at sniping at any range. Now AS50, ho boy.
