Spent a good 2 hours on TS with a bunch of old schoolmates who are only just now trying DayZ

Them all in a group and me on my own with a DMR and NVs.

So much fucking fun, they killed me once when I got swarmed by axemans and the occasional winchester.

FAL is awesome, yes the ammo can be an issue but its a super pvp weapon. Maybe the M14 is better but its not exactly easy to find.

anyway, what's with the character getting up from prone position when getting into buildings? i died twice because of that, i sneak around, i get in and suddenly i'm RUNNING alerting all the ziombies around...

To anyone who is going to start playing this game or didn't already know: stay out of the fire station towers in Electro unless you have spent at least 15 minutes with a pair of binos scouring the hills to the northeast and northwest. There are likely snipers there. They probably know the ranges to the towers and either have them preset or know the offset for those weapons which can't be zeroed. Most importantly, they will know you are there since zombies will spawn and alert them that someone is present.

tl;dr: Electro fire stations are AIDS, don't go there unless you know what you're doing or you have nothing to lose, because you will likely lose your stuff if you go.

Dian, I have never been sniped at fire stations tbh ;3 but sure, they are no more safe than most other decent loot spots, but they are easy to get to from a large number of spawns and I sincerely doubt there are more snipers (or as experienced ones) there than at NW AF - I still like it but you're right that I don't bother with it once I'm fairly far into the game

I pretty often enjoy the city areas because it leads to hilarious shit and it keeps the intensity high

Yeah, its generally the first place I check too. Usually if west Elektro spawn its Firestation, Store, Bar, Office, Red House, Hospital, power station, out. By then you've either done well and got good gear or done shit and might as well try it on another server.

Having a hilarious amount of lols with the AS50. Its totally overpowered. Pinpoint accurate out to 1600m.

Was east of Novy Sobor up in the treeline there and saw loads and loads of zeds going into the long barn on the west of town. Watched, and watched and watched and eventually... a guy is crawling out the south part of the barn.

750m shot, I zero for 800 then aim slightly below. Fire. Hit, he's dead. Second later I see his friend, who tries to crawl back behind the long barn and shoot again, clipping him in the leg. But because its a .50 round, hes also dead.

Up to 24 murders on this life. Not including the 4-5 or so that logged after being hit while I was using the DMR.
