Server hopping with the same char is retarded. Hey I'll just server hop all these zero pop servers and get leet loot and pwn noobs! Should be one char per server.
Except there's a difference between unsubstantiated comments and actually promoting a discussion. Stock FAL is arguably one of the better rifles in DayZ:
- Irons that are p. much pin point accurate out to at least 300m? Check.
- Decent cartridge in terms of range and stopping power? Check.
- Option to get NV scope to further increase the usage of it? Check.
The only thing it's really lacking is some form of optics for day time use, and even then it's not really necessary. So nice try "mate"~

Frankly I like the FAL. But the M14 is infinitely better until they implement mag swaps between FAL and M14/M24/DMR ammo. The only thing the FAL has over the M14 is Burst and Full auto, and with 1.7.2 hitting Soon™ that 'bonus' is likely to be more of a burden, because fuck pissing a rare 20 round clip up the wall in seconds.
This is primarily what causes people to use high powered guns. Basically the more alpha the less chance they have of getting away, but yes you're right here.

FAL and M14 are basically just automatic Lee Enfields, but in the case of the FAL you also have to deal with ammo rarity.

Logged in briefly before work this morning, on CQF's EU2 Server. CQF's server is normally full (of CQF), so I was pleasantly surprised to catch it just after a server restart.
Spawned in, and not 15 feet away was a fully repaired tractor. Sadly I didn't have time to park it (logged in just to check a couple of crashed helicopter locations), so I blew it up. Thing exploded just as the driver spawned in 10-15 feet away from it.
He wasn't happy, but he also wasn't alive when I'd finished either.![]()

also No updates for the Mod leaves me losing interest super fast after hammering the shit out of it for the last month.
playing last night some dirty cheating cunt managed to teleport my ATV .. while i was fucking riding it to his location. just outside zelenog. I was originally on the hilltop side of electro. I teleported to him while on the ATv and got shot in the face and had my shit stolen. Makes me want to hack tbfh.

well so far i have not used it vey much as i always had a gun with me that i thought suits me better i.e. MP5SD, ASW or BizonSD i used shitty not in an objective manner but as a personal reference to the situations i was in. it might be a very good gun i wouldn't know as i'm playing this for a bit more than a week.

but yes, i probably will pick up a FAL at some point and be amazed about it but there are people i'm playing with that are better with it than me. so far i have the most murders with an axe, amazing piece of shortrange gun that is. on that note, could it be that the crowbar seems to do less damage?

Shiny scoped military guns are nice and all, but I still haven't found anything that is as easily acquired and reliable as the lee. With the fucked damage registration/hit detection in dayz most of the time I will tuck any AR found in my pack and continue using the lee for that lovely one hit body kill/leg breaker. Had too many instances of me unloading more than enough into a player and them getting a return killshot due to damage seeming to take a second or two to register and incapacitate/kill. With zombies as they are currently noise is a minor issue compared to how quickly you can eliminate a player threat with it.
