Am i the only one, who thinks that stealthyness > all ? I've ran around a long time only with the hatchet, axeing Z's left and right till i had a crossbow and enough bolts so i switched to that despite having a G17 all along and finding multiple ak's and stuff.
Might be because i am mostly trying to avoid confrontation with other players (except the ones i am playing with ofc).

Carebear. Also, you will stumble upon other players sooner or later. Might aswell be prepared for it. AR's with SD ammo is better than axe and crossbow combined.

So I started a 'Let's Play DayZ' series on Youtube, after dying earlier this week. Progress so far (only parts 1, because Irish internet means I can't play whenever I'm uploading) is all solo play from starting out.

That's the exact route I hope to take, described above. Very useful to see how the zombies react to your stealth.

I bought a second copy for Arma on another steam account so I could fuck around with it when my friends weren't on. Spent an hour running around Elektro with an axe trying to kill people but had little success...

My tents always get looted within 24 hours, no matter how well hidden they are. Last one was way out in the wilderness in the middle of a pine tree with only a tiny edge showing, took me 10 minutes to find it and I knew the exact coordinates.
I'm starting to think that there are scripts that show tent locations on the map just like those for player/vehicle locations.

There is a bug which makes stuff inside tents disappear on server restart

Could be, I have another small camp that keeps spawning new tents after every server restart. Sometimes the new tent will have an AKM and some ammo in it.

Also, yeah, Hueys haven't been in new servers for ages. Some of the old old ones have them, like PL's servers.

Really need to fix constant chain spawning zombies. Friend and I decided to clear out a crashed heli as the pilot zombies have a chance to drop NVGs, welp the 5 initial zombies turned into 10 then 15, just stupid right now.
