So I set up a tent camp off the edge of the map, parked 2 stolen rides next to my tents.
Moved some shit to and from a vehicle and accidentally dropped my 7 jerry cans of fuel on the ground thinking they were landing in the vehicle hold. Then the horrible moment when I realise I can't pick them up again. cars aint going fucking nowhere for now.

oddly but kinda cool: for some reason some of the tents appear invisible unless you zoom in with a weapons scope or the RMB even at point blank range. meaning if done correctly I guess you could have a semi invisible tent camp. just don't put items on the floor

Actually tried playing the game today. Got a load of kills down at the beanwars but died a couple times. Finally wound up finding a DMR in the Elektro fire station and a AKM elsewhere.

Currently rocking AKM/DMR and ALICE, with revolver and Map/Compass.

Tbh feels better than the 'aquired' stuff we all have.

Had to stop after 30ish mins as i was getting a bit near to the tractor spot and didn't fancy getting in a firefight when i couldn't see more then five foot in front of me.

Just a fellow (newish, been playing eve for just over a year now) internet spaceship pilot having some fun 'surviving' (if you call surviving always hitting touchpad in the middle of cherno/elecktro and getting massive hordes of zeds chasing you and dieing every 30 mins into a new character) in Chernarus. Been lurking around on failheap for awhile felt might as well be time to see if you might welcome a newer guy to join you on your survival in Chernarus. Just wondering on TS details and what server you guys tend to play on. Also any tips on dayZ survival will be welcome.

ps. felt it was time cuz I finally found my first good gun (CZ 550) and thought to myself, "I kinda wanna keep this longer then 30 mins"

I feel I must explain myself, I have a laptop that I must use to play videogames, its not a bad laptop by any stretch but a laptop nonetheless. Now I use a wired mouse for everything I do on my laptop but for some stupid reason it wont let me turn off the touchpad (or I'm too stupid to find where to turn it off, Ive checked all the places I could think of and anything short of uninstalling the drivers will not turn it off) and my thumb always likes to hover over the spacebar which just happens to also place it above the touchpad. Now for some unforseen circumstance and times where I just plain forget, my thumb will just brush the touchpad making the laptop think I just clicked, now this doesnt really affect me all that much playing eve, with a mouse, but its become a lot bigger problem playing dayZ.

edit: huh, should of just googled this a long time ago.... solved my problem in 2 minutes.....

Excellent, I hit quite a few "all clear tra la la FUCK" situations in the past 2 weeks from zombies spawning directly in front of me while crouch running around town. Increased LOS attack ranges should be interesting, I like that you'll actually have to worry about their facing now
