Dummy and I have placed tent, beginning to horde parts. Located repairable chopper in the field as well, although we only have the general area of it unfortunately, we were on our way back to pick up friend who was just starting tonight.

For a first play that was amazing. Died 3 times, met up with FHC crew, eventually ended with a shotty, M1 and nice pistol plus all the goodies. Then *someone* lost a wheel and things got more hilarious than ever xD

V tired, ended up split from the main group when the sun was still up (BT dropped) at the airport managed to get out of there and get south to Rogovo.
Where i ran in to one of our chaps with a bus that was about to run out of fuel, so we go looking for jerry can i saw in a small town.
I pop two of the Zee's thinking that's about all there is in the building then we both hear a massive fucking groan and a group of about 20 zombies come around the corner, one min later they are all dead and the jerry can has despawned.
Oh and we think some wanker nicked the bus.

I drove it around in the dark for ten minutes while asking on our own coms 'how I shoot headlight?" before crashing it into a tree. All the bits inside it went red so I jumped out and ran off.

Why do people with good set of basics (revolver, blood, knife, compass, shotty etc.) still head to SW airfield army camp? followed this on guy around for 5 mins letting him do the dangerous work of looting the towers before getting bored and emptying my makarov into him.
F**k server restarts when you are in the middle of Elektra (with noob gear) in the day light before restart then night with heavy cloud cover (cant see a thing no matter the *tweaks* used), 7 noob mags (1/2 of one left) all my meds and down to 3k blood later I am standing ontop of a pile of zombies at the edge of town.
So much fun last night the lack of sleep was so worth it (even with call out cutting that in 1/2) FHC crowed is :awesome: or perhaps it is just the Mod.
It's tense as solo, trying to reach the group. It was also tense when the car broke down and we are scouting for a new wheel and keeping an eye when you suddenly hear on TS: 'Hear gunshots... fuck I'm dead!' and we all scramble for cover. Effing snipers!

I am starting to question if you were legitimately just unlucky when you died in that earlier story you told or it was more of the same~
Some one else drove it around and through Elektra with the lights on (apparently narrowly missing our car on the road out heading in the other direction), while some of us were watching from the hills looked fantastic. The lights reflecting of the buildings in the distance with stormy weather was so atmospheric, not being able to see your hands except when every thing was lit up for a fraction of a second due to the lightening and only barely roads or any thing else when skylined.
For any of you going 'How do I join in this madness' here is how:
Note that this information mostly relies on the Steam version bundle. You CAN play with Arma II free (but the expansion you must pay for) but even then you get crappy graphics and potentially more bugs. If you have Arma II + expansion as non-steam it's mostly the same but you should use a mod-manager tool (google ARMA II mod manager).
So, you will need to fork out 24 GBP or equivalent jewgold in your nation of choice. It's worth it, it's not that much money these days for good ol' game play and this has TONS of it. If you are too poor/cba then don't bother reading on.
Buy the steam pack Arma II: Combined Operations (arma II + expansion) which will set you back 24 quid (not including any discounts you may be able get!).
Once installed there is one important thing to do so you don't get a bunch of skullduggery going on: Press PLAY once on Arma II itself so steam does 'first run' stuff. Same for the expansion. After that, follow the steps in this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjWFv...layer_embedded
The download link for the DayZ files is http://www.armafiles.info/dayz/ instead of the links on the tutorials
In short it is:
* Make folder in steamapps Arma II operation arrowhead folder called '@DayZ' (case insensitive really)
* Make another folder in there called 'Addons'
* Put all archives from the download link into this folder, extract all files in that directory (keep directory structures for non-winrar idiots)
* Add relevant start-up settings through steam (see tutorial if you don't know how): -mod=@dayz -nosplash
* Press the 'Play' button on operation arrowhead and choose the bottom option: Play Combined Operations
Last step is important, pick the wrong one and it won't work. Once the game is started (can take a little while, restart steam if it bugs up first time):
* change your GFX settings (MAX OR BUST)
* hit multiplayer
* choose filter and set 'mission type' to 'dayz'
* Pick the US6 server, which has failheap-challenge.com between brackets (50 players max atm)
* If it's full (likely), keep pressing enter with that server selected to keep trying (don't HAMMER it, affects server if you do too much!)
* Get on FHC TS if you're not a jew
From there, you can prob join up with us. First time you are going to die, and a lot. It's even likely you'll get shot by an FHC'r although the main group will be fine if you TELL us you are coming. You roll up all noob-looking-not-on-TS-fag-like you will get pasted. If you join the group and go 'lol-let-me-be-a-dick-and-kill-you' you will die, you will get camped and probably be a persona-non-grata (sucks2bu).

Last night 1/5th of the server was on TS, I am starting to think we should start shooting each other or just go raiding other servers to get more action :/
