Hoping to buy tickets to Jack White's Melbourne gig which is at the end of July. They go on sale on Tuesday morning so fingers crossed. I missed out on Radiohead tickets which I'm pretty cut about![]()

Not a concert, but a Metal Opera (in a real theater). Was pretty impressive from the visuals, good from the band/actors/music and funny to watch how different the audiance was (traditional "suits" you'd expect from opera visitors, next to long-haired metalheads like me).
The piece is called "Die Chronik der Unsterblichen - Blutnacht" ("Chronicles of the Immortals - Blood night"), based on the book series of the same name by germany's best selling fantasy/horror/sci fi author Wolfgang Hohlbein (also known to be a metalhead), arranged and performed by the German progressive metal band Vanden Plas. The concert ... erhm ... opera lasted three hours with the typical break in between and was a really good experience. Haven't been to a theater for along time.
Went to see Blink 182 in Manchester yesterday. I've seen them there twice before. They were incredible, brilliant show. Probably the best I've seen them play!
Tomorrow: The Atomic Bitchwax & Fatso Jetson

Shit was tight.

Just bought tickets for Garbage tonight in Manchester (my GF loves em), should be interesting
I'm not a girl, and I don't know what a "Mendolorian" is.. I think it might be a self healing car that travels through time.
Anthrax at the Coal Exchange in Cardiff. Great gig - nothing better than seeing huge bands in small venues. Butcher Babies supported, and they're pretty terrible. Next will be Colne R&B festival up north, or Motorhead/Anthrax in November.
Another week, another set of tickets ordered:
31.08. - 01.09. Two Days A Week (Wiesen)
26.09. Fu Manchu
27.09. Caribou
01.10. Refused
27.10. And So I Watch You From Afar
Just came back from an Iron Maiden concert (dallas). Was jizz-in-my-pants awesome.
And the last festival of the season..

Contracts to 'Admiral Rufus' please
Watched Dragonforce/Alestorm the other week. Alestorm where epic and outdid dragonforce by a big margin.
Saturday im watching trivium/as i lay dieing. on campus
few weeks i have tickets for Steel Panther and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
December i have tickets for cancer bats/enter shikari.
Next year i have my download tickets because who the fuck can miss Rammstein, Slipknot and maiden all headlining \,,/
Last one i went to was Machine Head in Dresden last November, wich was fucking epic. Before that i saw Iron Maiden in Berlin, wich was fucking epic too.
Thinking about visiting Stone Sour in December, but its in the middle of the week and im kinda broke
I realy would like to see Tool, Godsmack and Disturbed some day (they all play rarely in germany, boo) as well as Dream Theater again (the first time i saw them it was on a crappy fastivalish thing where they had only 1,5h playtime, wich definitely is too short for DT).
That bandlist from Reading looks quite nice, FF is definetly on my "have to see" list aswell!
Today:
5 years of road trip to outer space anniversary party, featuring:
Samsara Blues Experiment
Mars Red Sky
and Sex on the beach
And it's free.![]()

Have seen a few nice ones as of late
First saw Profane Omen, Amoral and Ensiferum
Profane Omen are not that bad, but had issues getting the crowd moving
Amoral was ok, but not great, was fun watching through
Ensiferum was fucking brilliant, just as good if not better live then recorded, also got the crowd going nicely and chanting along
After that it was Wisdom, Eluveitie and Sabaton
Wisdom was balls, pretty boring to watch, but may been since it's not really my cup of tea as far as music goes
Eluveitie was pretty great, it's somewhat tricky taking a band whose singer goes seamlessly from playing a flute to growling or bouncing around on stage with a sackpipe seriously, but a lovely lesson in how folk-metal weaves different types of music together
Now, sabaton... i mean, i don't normally like them much, but goddamn, they did put on one awesome show
Having a band do a song with a lyric segment going "My time is coming, This era is drawing towards it's end. All of Stockholm see's me being crowned, cannons shoot salute", in swedish (supposedly first time ever live), in stockholm, that was a pretty awesome experience
Next week, it's time for Raubtier
Rocktober best tober
