    Wireless connection frustration

Have a Belkin wireless router that has been working fine for 2.5 years and then all of a sudden my 10 month old HP dv7 can't get internet access via wireless despite the fact both our 2 iphones, an ipad, and my wife's Lenovo laptop can. I rolled back the antenna drivers, tried resetting the router and cable modem it is attached to, and for the life of me can't figure out why this one item can't connect to my home network. The laptop has worked fine for approximately 10 months prior to about a week ago when it promptly stopped connecting. It connects to the network and shows great signal but can't establish the internet connection only shows connected to my home wireless network. Running the vanilla Intel wireless diagnostic shows everything is fine up until it tried to get a ping from the router then it's can't establish an internet connection. When I plug it in on the hard line out of my router it does fine and connects instantly, Any suggestions, I'm a bit miffed at the moment.

Do you have any anti-virus with a built in firewall or any firewall software.. Trend does this a lot as does norton..

you could try resetting the IP stack (which will clear out any hooks your AV may have)
    netsh int ip reset log
netsh w reset (<- Winsock reset, good for vista and 7, you might need to type in winsock instead of w)
    then reboot

From what I could gather from your wall of text, you can connect to the wireless but can't ping anything?

Connect it to the wireless network-> open a command prompt and type ipconfig

Tell us if it's getting an IP from the router (you should see 192.168.x.x or possibly 10.x.x.x in the output somewhere)
