I don't think the IS will give you an extra tank / slot, since nothing about the tank is changing. KV, KV-3 and IS-4 are changing and do get you a free tank / slot AFAIK. If you know differently, please give a reference.Originally Posted by Swiss

I loathe the "flammable ammo rack" / IS-3, and if I fail to get IS-7 now I'll have 100-200k useless xp on ST-I and will have to get back to IS-3 to unlock IS-8 to go for IS-7. Should I kill myself by grinding for IS-7 and at same time grinding M103 for T110 to get T110 before they nerf it to the ground or say fuck it and fit a fucking WAR on IS-3 when I buy it to grind for IS-8...
One month, 2x ~280k xp left for T110 and IS-7; and 13mil credits. And I have to fly spaceships before they nerf incursions... and study Java web programing for a exam on 21st.
Well if grinding for IS-4 goes like it did today, it will take me...200 games minimum. Urgh.
No don't worry, thats not how it works. Unlocking and buying IS-4 (which you already did) will give you IS-8, not the ST-1. KV-1s ---> IS ---> IS-3 --> IS-8 --> IS-7
T-150 --> KV-3 --> KV-4 --> ST-1 --> IS-4
Nothing is going to reward you KV-4 and ST-1 for free, they both have to be grinded and bought with credits conventionally.
As such, what would happen after 7.3 revamp if you didn't manage to grind IS-7 with the current IS-4 pre-patch :
1. You will get a free garage and a free IS-8
2. With the past German / US medium / US heavy revamps, unused exp always went to the new tank taking its place. I don't see how this will be different, so your 100k - 200k unused exp will now be moved to the new IS-8.
3. You will also have IS-8 modules unlocked according to equivalent modules you have unlocked right now in your IS-4 pre-patch.
4. So, even if you didn't manage to grind IS-7 with your IS-4 pre-patch, you just need to continue the grind from where you left off with the new IS-8, not starting from scratch back from IS-3.
5. Concusion : no need to kill yourself
There are a couple minor drawbacks though if you can't complete IS-7 grind before patch : First, just like previous revamps, the new tank comes with a set of 100% crews. The old crews always follow wherever the old tank goes. So if you have secondary crew skills on your current IS-4 now, your new future IS-8 won't have that, and as such you either have to continue grinding in an IS-8 with the free 100% crews, or swap them around with the IS-4 post-patch. Another minor drawback is the possibility that IS-8 may not be as powerful as the IS-4 it is replacing.
About dem free slots, hasn't it been shown they you get free slots only if you have 0 available slots ?
Based from what I read in the forums, many people said that they still got the free slot even though they didn't fill up all their empty garage slots before patch. Some people reported otherwise, but that might be because they didn't notice that empty garage slots are now stacked.
This isn't based on my own experience however, just from what I've seen from the forum. I usually just take precautions anyways by filling it up with the 4 free noob tanks. Never had more empty garage slots than what those 4 can fill anyways.
I lost a slot and wrote a support ticket and got answer
You received the M103 that is why you missing one slot.

Why are the tracks on the IS-7 such fucking shit. I don't understand. Why I do get tracked by literally fucking everything. And why is the tank so fucking slow? HIGH TOP SPEED HURR the tank has terrible traverse, it literally can't break 30 kph on anything that isn't asphalt, T110's drive right past me on anything that isn't a ridiculous decline, and the tracks FUCKING FALL APART AT THE FIRST FUCKING STIFF BREEZE. Oh and the lower glacias gets penned by fucking everything tier 8+ too.
God I am 2 fucking seconds from selling this cunted piece of shit.

I hope the IS-4 doesn't suck as a tier 10. I think they will have to do a bit more than just bumping the hitpoints, like fixing that stupid driver's hatch for example.
