World of Tanks v 0.7.3: The Russian edition (FINALLY!)

The next update v.7.3 is currently estimated to be released in the end of April 2012.

Features to be implemented with the 7.3 update:

Changes in the Soviet heavy tanks:

- KV-3 moves from tier 6 to tier 7.
- IS-4 moves from tier 9 to tier 10.
- KV is divided into KV-1 and KV-2.
- T-150 is added as a tier 6 heavy tank.
- KV-4 is added as a tier 8 heavy tank.
- ST-1 is added as a tier 9 heavy tank.
- T-10 (IS-8) is added as a tier 9 heavy tank.

French premium vehicles added:

- 10.5 сm leFH18 B2 as a tier 4 SPG.
- FCM 36 Pak 40 as a tier 3 tank destroyer.

New maps:

- South Coast (subtropical mediterranian map)
- Dragon Ridge (first Chinese map)

Tank slots / tank replacements:
From an old and possibly very outdated blog from Overlord (http://overlord-wot.blogspot.com/201...mproved.html):

• KV will be separated into KV-1 and KV-2.
Players who have a KV in their garage at the time of the revision will have it replaced with a KV-1. The KV’s crew will be trained for the KV-1.
Additionally players who have researched KV-2’s turret for KV will get a KV-2 with an extra garage slot and the KV-2 will be assigned a 100% crew.
Undistributed experience from KV can be transferred to either KV-2 or to KV-1 on demand.
No additional refunds are planned.

• KV-3 moved to tier 7 and the introduction of T-150.
Players who have a KV-3 in their garage at the time of the revision will get a KV-3 in its new status with its existing module and research setup and its old crew. Additionally they will also get a T-150 with a stock setup, extra garage slot, and 100% crew.
No additional refunds are planned.

• IS-4 will be substituted for Object 252.
Players who have an IS-4 in their garage at the time of the revision will get an IS-4 in its new status with old crew, plus they will also get an Object 252 with 100% crew with an extra garage slot. Undistributed experience will remain on Object 252, however can be transferred to a new IS-4 on demand.
No additional refunds are planned.

Draft Procedure of module substitution for IS-4:
If a player had IS-4’s engine researched, the same engine will be researched for both the new IS-4 and Object 252 (or the analogue of this engine if changed).
Radios, turrets, and suspensions will be treated in the same way. IS-4 and Object 252 will have the same modules installed as those previously mounted on old IS-4 or their analogues if changed. Guns, if changed, are likely to be treated in the same way.


Note: Installed equipment and modules in depot for the vehicles affected by the revisions will be sold at their buying price. Some minor changes are still possible but overall concept will remain untouched.

Reading fail Corwyna? It kind of says that players who have it researched should get one, doesn't say that you need to have one bought or mounted. So my KV will become KV-1, I have the turret researched so I get a KV-2 and my KV-3 will become KV-3+T-150. Not bad.

I read it just fine, but there were talks about getting only one KV out of it depending on the turret, so was wondering if there is a possibility of error in patch notes cause of :russiandevs:

Actually, it is an exception to replacement thingy so far, and that is why that part is not clear to me.

So far you were always getting 2 tanks out of it and here you can get one or two depending on other conditions except only having a tank in a garage.

For example, IS-4. You are getting both IS-4 as new tier 10 and its replacement in tier 9, while on KV you will get KV-1 for sure but KV-2 only if you have KV-2 turret researched.

Well Keep in mind this is the first time they've "split" one tank into two. Everything else has been replacements & shifting positions on the tech tree. Also who da fuq uses the KV-1 turret if youve got the 2nd? I gotta say tho I am really really pissed about the KV-1 Getting you current crew instead of KV-2, WTF, like I really want my bad ass crew goin into that piece of shit.

They confirmed that 7.4 would be French TDs and SPGs for sure, but not the remaining French lights/meds/heavyies tho, that will be released "at a later date".

Nope, they haven't even detailed the specs of IS-4, which I assume more people will be more interested in to gauge its competitive value as a new tier X. No matter what, I can't imagine the devs messing tier 7 KV-3 worse than AMX M4, although I heard AMX M4 got some gun depression back in 7.2.

Underpowered Brit Guns, I'd wager.

For me, once the Brits are in, the only other Nation I'm interested in personally is a Polish 7TP Light Tank.



Not exactly high odds it'll ever be in game, but still, always good to have something to hope for.
