I'm going to get me a Jeeves omnibus I think. Does anyone read P.G. Wodehouse stuff?

"Magic and Divination in the Ancient world."
Hittite oracles can be quite lulzy.
Good decision, Honor Harrington is pretty addictive! I'm at "At all costs" now and recommend to also read the spin-offs (see "Honorverse"), as they provide additional background information.
BTW, you can get the first couple of books from that series as free ebooks from Baen Books.
Finished all the HH books recently, waiting for the author to release the next one. Series currently ends just as massive war is about to properly kick off. The however many (13+?) books before this are basically just a prelude to the main event![]()
re-read Singularity Sky, as prelude to Iron Sunrise which i got new, now into Accelerando which i had lying around for ages but never read. (all Charles Stross)
I've been reading the Riyria Revelations and really been enjoying them. I'm currently half way through the second Omnibus.
Just finished all of Peter F. Hamilton's Commonwealth Saga. Wanting similar stuff, maybe that I can put on my phone. Any suggestions?
Hamilton's "Night's Dawn" series, different universe.
Also the Commonwealth saga has a sequel trilogy, starts with "The Dreaming Void" I think. Or did you read all those too?
Finished "The Heroes" by Joe Ambercrombie

Started a little slow, but picks up.
I liked the series as you couldn't really predict what would happen, yet bloody and enjoyable.
Start with First Law Trilogy
Read all of them ... commonwealth saga is all 5 imo, read all of his books barring the latest short stories one so far

Reading Robert A. Heinlein 'Stranger in a strange land'. Book is from 1961 and it reads as an odd mixture between sci-fi and Madmen (the tv series). 80 (of 436) pages in its p. good.
I love Jubal Harshaw. His witty and insightful explanation of the world is pretty much the way I see it. Brilliant character in a brilliant book.
So, the wife got me Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter for my birthday a few months ago, and it sat on my shelf until a couple weeks ago when I thought "Well, I should read the book before I see the movie."
Book ended up being far better than I expected. I was expecting an action-adventure starring a protagonist who happened to be named Abraham Lincoln. What I got was actually far better - the author is really good at portraying Lincoln's personality and demeanor accurately (aside from the vampire hunting, obviously) and weaves the narrative into existing history very well. Honestly, I give it a 9/10.
