Rachel Weisz most certainly is. Hugh Jackman is okay but his performance in story driven stuff is hit and miss, his track record is much better on action based things.

    Rachel Weisz <3
I really liked Fountain, i prefer slow movies with many layers. I do understand why many people despise it though. It's down to preferences in the end.

'The Deep Blue Sea' and 'The Constant Gardener' off the top of my head. Terrible by what measure?

    That doesn't even make sense.

Edit: Al Pacino is terrible because... "Laurence Olivier"

compare the two, seems fairly straightforward.

One isn't bad because the other is good. They're both good. Could you be any more stupid? (Drunk)

That *is* how it works. The subjective standard of "good" is set by whomever you think is good, and when someone else doesn't meet this standard they are not good. Now you may think both are good maybe in different ways while pratell doesn't, no sense in calling him stupid over it.

Personally I'm not a fan of Ms. Weisz, although she did fit quite well in a few movies, like in The Fountain.

I liked it a lot. As with NCFOM I am not sure exactly what I am meant to take away from the ending but probably going to rewatch. As good as Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L Jackson having a chat in a single room could be. Probably the best film I've seen in months even if it wasn't particularly interesting as cinema (it's p much a play).
Easily best movie I've seen in this or the last year. Thoroughly enjoyable conversation film, with two very charismatic actors and quite good dialogue, on subject that feels quite important in late teens, early/mid twenties. Well, at any age, but usually comes up the strongest at that point.

It's hard to explain, I wasn't sure I can use such words to describe it better. Point is:
They all seemed fake. All their action were inconsistent with their characters, they all did things that make me question myself in mind "why didn't you x", "why you did y just to forget about it 10 sec later" etc. I couldn't feel anything that I could link myself to. There was no connection to anyone. I couldn't feel any of the characters, all i saw on screen were some actors doing dumb shit. I know that out of all Noomi Rapace really tried hard to make it feel real, she did a good job in first part of the movie but holy fuck [spoilers about some moments of movie]
      Spoiler:
the moment she knew android drugged her and tried to take her back to earth with her corrupted pregnancy, she hit some people, she run back, have emergency operation, get rid of some medusa-like shit out of her belly, then she walks back to them, meet android again, and without saying a single word she look at him and he said something like "good job" while smiling. All fine now. It happened, we can be freinds again. No need to mention this to anyone, problem fixed.
The fuck was that, was so painful to watch i wanted to hide myself in cinema. It all felt like this.

    ~~

Anyway, going to watch new batman today, got my hopes high.

They are adding in the extra stuff that Tolkien wrote but didn't include in the Hobbit/LOTR novels.

Also the battle sequences that only take up a chapter in the book take up a significantly larger portion of a film.

If the hobbit is as shit as lotr then i will know in advance not to waste my precious time on it.
If you were a superhero you'd be The Incredible Fucktard with your ever-ready sidekick Douchetard Boy. Together, you fight intelligence and common sense where you go.
