Saw Battleship in monday. It was fun.
I can definitely appreciate a dumb, fun movie if i'm in the right mood. However, the Transformers movies and Battleship are just taking it way too far into the "dumb" category. Did you pay money to see that at a multiplex? If so you are directly financing more shitty cash-in movies over actual good films.

That's not really true, and also you can have big blockbusters that are intelligent and don't assume the audience are retards. See: Christopher Nolan films, Michael Mann, Spielberg etc.
