Idol Corp - Wormhole Guerrilla Warfare

Idol Corp is opening its doors to take in a few pilots to join us bringing goodfites to the furthest corners of New Eden.

    http://idol.eve-kill.net

We live in a wormhole with nullsec and C5 statics and use this as a platform to roam behind enemy lines. We turn up unannounced and able to reship, looking for fights with anyone we can.

We fly in very small gangs, usually 2-4 and I think the biggest gang we've ever run was about 7 of us (plus some links and scouts). We like to fight outnumbered and with our gang sizes this is usually not a problem.

Corp is US and EU TZs, with the US being a little larger.

We're looking for a small number of pilots to join us. We don’t have an SP limit and will judge each case on its merits but you should be able to fly at least one race's sub-caps to a good standard.

You should be comfortable soloing, we also do a lot of that.

You should be ready to take up target calls and so on as we generally fly without an FC. Being able to think for yourself is important.

Ideally you'll want to have a scanning alt to get you back to the WH if you get podded. Cloaky hauler is also very useful.

Lastly, you should be fairly patient on the logistics front. Access to empire is patchy at best and it can take some time to get properly set up in here.

If you're interested in finding out more, mail me either on FHC, ingame at Smuggo Smuggins or join our public channel “Idol Corp Open”.

We had a fairly eventful weekend. After finding a highsec through a C2 sidehole I decided to go and stock up on supplies while V'al went exploring a WH to Delve to see what the new residents were like. Finding our old friends Viking Empire and Vera Cruz there was nice, and when two rapiers, a cynabal and a bunch of other stuff turned up to fight his ranis we were glad to see moving region hadn't really changed them all that much.

As I returned from resupply I shipped up to come join V'al who had managed to get a rapier to follow him. When I got to a system away from him I found a cyclone on my out gate from Hun Reloaded but he seemed disinterested in fighting, so V'al got regression from the rapier and shortly after saying "yeah I should be able to get out" he popped. Unfortunately this rapier pilot didn't just sit there like most do so I had a hard time keeping him in damage range, then the cyclone jumped in and managed to kill the in less than half structure, gfgf: http://idol.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_rel...ll_id=12843207

Returning to base we find a new hole to Providence, in the back of a popular carebearing pocket. We derp around a bit, killing the odd thing, losing some stuff and when devoters with recon support start turning up on every gate we decided it was time for bed and retired. As we return we find a heron sitting next to an onlining tower in the WH and kill it. This has happened a couple of times but I've yet to see anyone make it past the first day and these guys must have quickly realised it was going to be an uphill struggle trying to share a WH with us and bailed.

Logging in on Sunday I find 6 large bubbles anchored on the Providence exit. I'm not sure why people thing this is a good idea as it simply means that anything warping in to attack has to burn 50km to get to the WH but w/e. I start shooting them with a couple of bombers and sure enough they wake up and try to snipe me. Various ships are lounging around at the edge of bubbles, and I take the opportunity to get out the arty tornado, amusingly insta-popping a Rook: http://idol.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=12850522 And then getting a covert cyno opened on me, except they used an arazu to open the cyno and I just jumped out and warped since their tackle was stuck outside.

By now, a couple of corp mates have appeared from the ether and a loki is sitting right on the WH. We head out again, kill the loki and a pilgrim and unfortunately for them their friends were too coy to come in and brawl and instead just warped off to let them die. We then had a slow dance where they would intermittently warp some stuff in, we race out to kill what we can and then move back in as the blob arrived. Alas they were too scared to burn in to brawling range and it cost them numerous losses among the few that did pull together the courage to go for us. gfgfgfgf http://idol.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_rel...ll_id=12852437

I find it's best to not even try and follow the thinking that results in these kind of fittings as it will only lead you to a very dark place.

A mixed bag of a weekend for us.

Friday night we're in Cloud Ring and 00TY is always good for a laugh. With a couple of hurricanes and cynabal, we face an initial skirmish against about 5 or so BCs, a cynabal and a bunch of light tackle. We put down several frigates and a drake but lose a hurricane. As Don reships Arlis logs in and we add a scimitar to the mix. Black Mark steps things up too, adding a second Cynabal some more BCs and a few battleships. However, they seem somewhat reluctant to leave the station dock ring to come after us, but eventually the tackle is temped away and we dispatch the cynabals. At this point very little seems to be agressing, even as we burn in very close. However, a myrm and harb do aggress eventually and are put down despite the fairly heavy force they have sitting on the undock. With the wormhole hole due to close we are forced to return. http://idol.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_rel...ll_id=12898794

Saturday starts okay, some solo fun earlier in the day, almost killing a Machariel with a cyclone, with a minor skirmish on the GQ2S station in Paragon Soul. We return later with 3 of us and, with the locals smacking from the safety of the station we throw up a drag bubble from the jump bridge POS and soon catch a Thanatos. We were not ideally placed to deal with such a heavy catch but rapidly started to log some alts in and try to keep the Thanatos bumped off station. We keep this up for some time and despite undocking the odd ship the hostiles won't agress. Pyea logs in and joins us and we keep the Thanatos off station and push him into around half armour before the blob of 20 or so BCs with a couple of battleships and tackle. So begins our demise, including the loss of several scimitars across the course of around an hour as we try to coax this blob away from its scorpion. To top off this terrible night our WH closed right on time, which of course never happens while we're sat inside waiting for the new one to spawn. A 40-jump trip home is fairly quiet but we do kill a falcon in a Goon camp in Curse.

Sunday starts quietly in Scalding Pass. Myself and Don roaming in different directions in frigates, while I find nothing Don runs into a sabre, rapier, arazu and bomber camp in RNM. He gets out and we both race back to the hole to ship up and respond. The camp chase Don back and by this point V'al has joined us, dispatching the sabre in his Talos.

We return to RNM with a Talos, Harbinger and Legion, but with carriers on the station undock, a large number of assorted BC/BS and two arazus and a rapier to contend with we are forced to drag the fight out right across the station grid as we try and separate their gang. We pop numerous bombers, and several times come close to putting down the arazus and the panther that has appeared. A small slip up in an attempt to down the panther sees the loss of V'al's Talos and me pushed to 40% structure, but we're soon joined by Pyea in a hurricane. We keep moving around the grid looking for opportunities to grab the panther, which eventually presents itself. We pounce quickly and burn everything to put it down, I'm again forced off the field as I hit structure, the panther pops just afterwards. A daredevil is quickly dispatched as Pyea succumbs to the massive damage the enemy has on the field. http://idol.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_rel...ll_id=12924537

To top the night off, as V'al returned with an Ishtar and find a Tengu aggressing him and burning off gate in the system next door. Me and Don rush to him, and everyone is rather shocked by just how quickly it dies (until we see the fit: http://idol.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=12924778 ). By this point I'd burnt out my MWD trying to hold point on the Tengu and with the blob angrily chasing off the gate we decided to run home for the night.

Anyway, if this kind of few vs many fighting sounds like your cup of tea or you just fancy flying with us from time to time then swing by our public channel "Idol Corp Open"

    Bumping.

We've been pewing a lot in EUTZ recently (seems to me anyway) and stirring up much anger, temping people to come and fight on the WH, doing loads of loads of frigates, and being accused of being a Black Legion alt corp almost everywhere we go. Many things dying to just 3 of us that are regularly on in EUTZ atm but more friends are always welcome. http://idol.eve-kill.net/?a=home

Join our public chan "Idol Corp Open" if you want to fuck around doing something challenging and fun with no faggotry. Also our USTZ is actually much bigger than EU but you wouldn't know it as they seem to only be shooting POS mods at the moment.

Not a potential applicant, but I'm slightly curious why most of your kills are in k-space while you live in w-space. Do you just roam 0.0 that often or do you prefer 0.0 and just live in w-space?

A good question. We have a static to nullsec and mostly roam there. We will fight in WH space but it's unreliable and most of the regular WH pvp organisations tend to be a lot bigger than us (and also much better prepared than the 0.0. renters/blob alliances we usually fight).
