But I thought they couldn't use melee weapons from the back row?
But I thought they couldn't use melee weapons from the back row?
Also, is death permanent, or is there a ressurection spell or something later on?
you can use spears from the back row i think and there are floating crystals that resurrect you
Pro tip, keep the sacks and chests you find, if you put them on a character which can carry lots it will acts as an expansion to your inventory. I don't understand why it took me til level 3 to figure out that I should just use them like that![]()
Boxes weight quite much, so they aren't as good as sacks.
On level 10 now, saddened that the end is near, 13 dungeon levels in the game...
lvl 3. the spider room.
seriously. what the fuck?
Is there some trick to it? There isn't enough room to move around so I end up backing out into the coridor. Wich results in me beeing caught in a corner after the first spider is killed.
Marder II, IS, PzKpfw III, AMX 40, PzKpfw III/IV, IS-3
Open door, hit stuff in the face, close door. Thatīs how I do it every single time I have a door to use.
LvL 5. fuck you. Just fuck you level 5.
I don't sports.
I don't play, watch, care about or understand sports. At all. I do not sports.
Game beaten, took around 20 hours of gametime, last savegame says 17h16min, not counting when I ended dying and reloading ofcourse. Found 66/71 secrets, 3/7 treasures, 5/5 skulls, 16/16 toorums notes, opened 10/10 iron doors.
Did you use some walkthrough or something? Thats a very high secret/iron door finding rate

Beat the game the first time over the weekend. It's a wonderful game, all the way to the very end. The concept of the ending was expected, but the execution... I never expected to be chased around by a gigantic ****. That was pretty awesome!
My party consisted of:
Minotaur Fighter - Enough armor skills to wear light armor without penalty, then everything into Unarmed. He was pretty awesome by the end of the game, and saving weight by not having to carry a weapon is a plus.
Human Fighter - Even though Gank > Tank, I decided to put all points into Armor. Ended up with a protection rating of 106 by the end of the game. She was really hard to kill, but didn't do a ton of damage.
Lizard Rogue - I split skills between evasion, dagger, and assassination (mostly so he could attack from the back row). He was pretty underwhelming late game, probably because his points were spread around too much. Still, his evasion was really high, he hardly ever got hit in combat. Apparently ranged rogues are awesome, might try that next.
Insect Wizard - Specialized in Ice. The damage here was pretty underwhelming, but the freezing effect from the ice bolt spell was useful in more situations than I can count (especially for extra backstabs). Still haven't figured out what all of the spells are. If anyone else is using mages, do you find their damage output / general utility to be subpar?
Only had to resort to getting help for one of the puzzles (spent a few hours trying to solve it). It was the first Time and Tide puzzle.A good mixture of puzzles, some were pretty easy, some were a little devious, some relied on reflexes and planning, others just some brain power. A really nice mix overall. I feel like I missed half of the secrets though, and I only managed to findSpoiler: Also realized that (late game spoiler)Spoiler: Looking forward to another playthrough. Going more offensive next time around - weapon-focused fighter and assassin rogue in front, ranged rogue and wizard in the back. Might be goofy and have the wizard concentrate on spellcraft. Also want to try a 4-wizard party at some point, but I think I'd go insane with all of the spell-clicking.Spoiler:
This game is WELL worth the money. By itself, probably good for 2-3 playthroughs.
I'm really looking forward to the map editor / etc., time to learn some Lua for the scripting. I know that there's going to be some epic custom maps out there before too long. Also hoping for custom portraits at some point - I'm really surprised that wasn't in the game to begin with.
My party was axe wielding minotaur (athletics+armor up to heavy, axes), human swordman (armor to heavy, athletics, sword), ranged rogue (some dodge, missile weapons, little splashed all over the place) and a insectoid mage (fire+earth+little spellcraft for the faster casting).
In the end the rogue and the mage did most of the damage, the minotaur was really good at missing with his axe.
Probably going to give this another go to hunt for the 5 secrets I missed and the 5 treasures, will probably go with a sword-fighter, dagger/evasion rogue, a ranged rogue and a air-mage...
Apparently Dodge-tank Rogues aren't that good, but I've got one for my playthrough too. It's not terribly hard on the normal setting anyway, if I want to "min-max" a party I'll do it on Hard (or whatever unlocks after you finish), but all that means is you spend more time running & dodging - and while the game is good, it's not exactly due to the combat system
Be sure to use Minotaur Ranged Rogues, as all attack power is calculated with Str. So there's practically no reason at all to have Dexterity on a Ranged Rogue.
Goddamn Spiders. All of my hate.
Also, that ogre. Please tell me I won't have to fight many more of those, it took me 10 minutes to kill it.
