if this was 1992 id be blown away key problem is its not 1992 any more. might fly on a tablet or Smartphone but as a pc game im not impressed tbh it looks way to limited
Gonna so buy this and party like it's 1992.

WTF I created thred because this was not on front page on release day. Shame on you retardHC
http://store.steampowered.com/app/207170/ Looks so sweet.
Some countdown stuff and stuff from GOG.
It is mildly irritating to watch that countdown, as I've already doodled about a dozen grid-based dicks on my printed graph paper.
I'm going the extra mile and doing my mapping in pen. Because I'm a hardcore motherfucker. And also because the inevitable fuckups will make for hilarious layouts once the map editor is out.
Already pre-ordered. Gonna play tonight as soon as I get home \o/
It just looks awesome.
Pre-ordered it from the website and put the key into my steam library. Listed it as Legends of Grimrock Pre-order there and I thought it was all fine and dandy. However today, the release date, it won't do anything. There is no install option available or anything like that.
pre-ordered from GOG, everything is fine and dandy![]()
first dungeon and I'm stuck at a gate. There's a keyhole on the wall next to it but I can't find a key, all I've found is a rock with no pressure plate and a wall that says loose rock. Is there some way for me to interact with the wall? Throwing a stone at it for 5 minutes didn't work.
Edit: Figured it out, clicked all along the walls and finally found a hidden button concealing a key.

I'm not sure it's really the graphics quality but more the idea that instead of expanding out in to a freely interactable world or something like that they've reduced the game to grid based movement with no free-form and limited interactability. Yeah you can look around within the square you're standing on, but how is that in any way a leap or even interesting compared to the complete(ish) freedom of movement of skyrim which has the same and better puzzle-types with none of the retarded "you can only move exactly 5 feet in every direction"... bitching about chest high walls while playing a grid-based game is just
Admittedly, I didn't look in to the depth of character manipulation and such, but at a wild swinging guess just watching the combat demo in the video against the snail, meh... the UI doesn't even seem decent for that.
I tried to be cool and all I got was a lousy warning about my sig being too big.
First two hours wasted, immersive as hell.
this game looks fucking shit
