protip: always keep the container open on your screen, because those cap boosters won't load from cans, only from your cargohold.

i just said DPS was on the low side for snagging up (usually) bait, not sure how that's controversial v0v

He just mad that someone not in podla dares to talk about the ~podla drake~
Not even sure how its a good solo ship, IMO the dualweb drake is more for tiny gangs of 2-3 + skirmish links.
The DPS is just shit, also you can 0wnz0ne retard tacklers in pretty much anything including fleet intys.
I actually found the Malediction p hilarious to fly solo, as people will think "gang scout being bad, lets own him".
And you can jump in in like 400+ locals and not care.

    I use a container, tbh.
    I alway forget about those.
we used to do that in dreads; but do tell more about myrm example, which one u use? And how many charges you get in, i now have 8 X navy 800 + 9 x navy 400

    *whips out Aura*

    *Aura is unhelpful*

From memory, it was a medium standard container full of navy 800s with the remainder being ammo.
I threw at least 2 boosters in the cargohold plus one full reload of a few types of ammo, and nanite paste and exile ofc.

DPS is pretty low, so you're depending on sentry guns to aid you, quite a bit.
Heh sorry, he specified caldari and fast, Drake was the only thing to spring to mind.

I guess you could try HAM navy caracal, I think someone was saying they're kinda good.

awesome ships, can own most of the things 1v1.
sadly, there's no such thing as 1v1 in eve
also, it's far from fast :-/

There are still 1v1s to be had in some places, its just you have to think what other people will go solo in and fly accordingly but back on topic if you jump into a massive gate camp avec webs you're boned no matter what you fly (apart from cloaky tricks) and if you jump into a med/small one you can try and separate using aggro and it still leaves you free to engage small gangs/solo targets of opportunity. Dunno, Eve solo is pretty hardcore so you might as well fit so that you can take on a specific target set and hunt that down rather than try and come up with ships that'll be able to take on gate camps and still work against smaller groups. Just my opinion.

Otherwise harpy/hawk might be an option but this limits your targets substantially (although i still hold that the hunt is a big part of the fun).

it's just that that is pretty much exactly how the ship was used for the two or more years PODLA flew it and everyone else hated on it. at the time, PODLA got about 50% of its fights in lowsec and a great deal of those were on gates (taking sentries, not relying on them to help with dps.) moreover, in a great deal of these fights the PODLA drake was solo.

tier 3s and the blaster buff have changed everyone's expectation of what good dps is. still, i wouldn't say the PODLA drake is a less effective solo ship do to dps. the appied dps hasn't changed and is still perfectly fine - if not better than some ships that are considered higher dps ships (eg, cane). the reason the PODLA drake doesn't do quite as well as it used to is that people have stopped laughing at it and started to fear it - excessively in many cases. most of eve will take any reason you can give them to bow out of a fight they don't think they can easily win. over estimating the PODLA drake has become such a reason.

drake is jsut a well rounded, a tiny bit OP ship, which makes it excellent for solo pvp
you'll still die to groups though

HAM drakes are still pretty sweet tbh.
I tried to be cool and all I got was a lousy warning about my sig being too big.

I was referring to the surprise-rape factor more than the ship itself

edit: went and checked my fit, he probably capped out because he only had a single booster. What's funny is you sac the web for the 2nd booster and he had a rapier alt to web you anyways.

    oh and no damage control.

    Carry on finding noobs.

Without neut pressure, dual rep single injector works fine at medium and large scale afaik. I think your tank usually just plain breaks first, but it's also not like neut pressure is rare. Fucking canes.
I hadn't noticed the lack of DC2. This now slightly takes the edge off of what was hilarious and p damned close. Also his Vaga with carrier reps afterwards was entertaining to evade the point of and get the loot away from.

He was probably busy with the freighter he'd just docked on another account, but I didn't know his fits before taking my chance, just that the rapier was the blinky pilot & cyno so I went for the suicidal gank. He did say he was derping hard, undocked the 'wrong' carrier to assist the vaga, etc.

Isn't Eve all about finding noobs to pwnzone while outnumbered?
