as many of you know i avoid getting myself in the (often) stupid remarks and things you guys do to each other, sadly i have been forced to do so this time.

on days where i see posts like this one or this one (oh snap, same person, i must be on a vendetta!) and it really bugs me a lot. there is also a lot of hurf blurf about me saying that you should PM me if there is issues yet you don't do it and complaint about changes that should be done, lets face it, i don't spend the entire day reading the forum as some of you do.

i will say this once again, in bold even! if you have any issues with the current moderation, send me a PM, as long as its not a simple complaint from how you were abused by X after you have done something retarded it will get a response and i do know that there is plenty of you around that knows this. as i said when i started this forum, this is for you, if you don't talk to me nothing will get done.

now to the point, what has happened to Drakma is beyond shameful, it really upsets me that this even happened (and that i didn't get a copy myself, fuck you whoever you are) and i will cooperate with him in any shape or form i can to assist him to find a resolution of this issue.

there will be a few changes on the moderation team coming this weekend and i will be looking forward to the feedback from you guys, if you have any comments, suggestions or complaints (as long as they are specific, not wahh wahh i got infracted) then you will be hearing from me.

i will be looking at this thread as well and i will try and respond to *specific* questions in this thread (as long as they are on subject).

clearly you didn't read the OP, Daneel was complaining of a fairly specific incidence in a rather retarded way, thus him getting mocked.

if you see most of his posts on the subject he basically turned it into a personal vendetta, i was very clear on my post that if you try and do things on a retarded manner you will get a retarded result, that's a given, that's how it's always been and that's how it always will be.

Why do you beleive that drakma actually recieved a letter? There were 2-3 threads full of peope raging at him, he wanted to play the victim, so he make up some BS about getting a crayon hate letter. There are no pictures of it, just some laughable story that he "turned it over to authorities." What a joke. Do you seriously think that he walked into a police station and gave them a construction paper letter with crayon writing on it? Why not take pictures? Oh I know because there was no letter.

he had a rather direct word with me and requested me to delete his account entirely because he was fed up on how much crap everyone was trowing at him, having known Drakma for a while and believing that i have a fairly decent relationship with him i decided to believe his word on it, i will let it up to him to go ahead and give me/us proof on this subject. i do agree that the fact he went ahead and posted a thread before i could do this post only ended up stirring up a rather bad shitstorm, yes it was a bad idea but i don't blame him, i would be just as upset as he was if it would have happened to me.

in the case this ends up being fake, well it would end up being a rather sad thing overall, it doesn't change the fact that the response of some of the people was everything but correct considering the circumstances.

Drakma's actions are contradictory - has anyone else said I was wrong for searching out the relevant thread to post an update in? That he made a new one is him agreeing the convo should continue, but breaks the point of having a topic thread.

As for posting a dupe/old devblog in Eve GD soon after, that was CCP's fault for copy-pasting the thing into the new client launcher's pane and disguising that it wasn't new. Sofia didn't need to get so upset as to infract some more for that too, it was a genuine mistake.

As for taking the whole thing personally, well it was an action directed at myself, and I thought I'd done something helpful rather than just starting a new thread, and then that my actions had been honestly mistaken by some overzealous ignorant mod. To then get banned off of ~3 infractions iirc was then inconvenient and futile.

Since I seem to actually take a look at the ban list fairly regularly, I can clarify this one. You were banned for a couple of days, a week at the most. It was a permanent ban, meaning that Drakma could not have actually put it in place as a sub-moderator.

As for moderation, as EntroX keeps re-iterating and people don't seem to be listening, send him, or one of the global mods a PM. Things will get sorted and there's around the clock timezone coverage between the three of us to actually make things go smoothly, as long as you stick to the rules.

It escalated because the other mods said Drakma was wrong. And no one could or would do anything about that. Granted you don't want a mod civil war and they knew better than to do that, but being as a supermod was making it personal to go nazi on my posts, and the admins were away, we were left with no possible actions and people fearing to speak out, or just rolling their eyes and being put off.

Edit: thread's moving too fast... It was a full week ban. It was a couple of infractions from Drakma when they shouldn't have been, and another mod chimed in at me being annoyed at this abuse and slapped the ban on.

Sofia, you yourself posted my personal PM on the forum for all, why would people trust you or Entrox as much as they might have before? You're both/all to blame. You all sided with your own, you overmoderated discission of it and any posts of those involved afterwards, and were :smug: when people naively followed fellow mod's advice to take it to the PMs.

All this over my bother to search out the old thread and keep the place tidy & self-moderated. Colossal fuckup.
