Just retarded.
Yes, I'm sure you're the type of guy that can protect state secrets from Chinese hackers. You're Nasa's Messiah.
didn't they toss or eBay some PCs a few years back with intact drives chock-full of data? I'm sure this isn't the first time NASA have failed so hard (that is a pretty god damn big fail though, I wonder what sort of encryption they're even using to authenticate the codes)
Not one thing about that article struck me as competent news reporting. The idiotic pictures were just the icing on the failcake. I also like how they speak glowingly of Bush Jr's dumbass moon expedition ideas, and they neglect to mention that the shuttle was already sleighted for retirement. And does anyone mind telling me what 1% of 48 computers is actually supposed to mean? Also I don't like a news article linking to a bunch of links at its own website.
Even if the story is true, some people need some e-journalism lessons.
edit: fucking techwhatever.com waste my 500th post >_> It was really ME who cancelled the shuttle program!

Also did that article imply that China would be spying on the ISS when the international community is already asking China (and india) to be members of the ISS team?
To be fair, I wouldnt want to patch hardware in orbit either.. Sure, laptops on the ground should be patched, but not all of nasa's stuff is easily accessible should it die on reboot.
