A quick update on what I have been up to:
I build myself a nice house in the NPC village, then started digging. Soon I found a dungeon, well, not just one. The result is that my house now got 70-ish legit moss stone =)
(kept monster spawners for easy experience farming)
Afterwards I dug out more than a thousand sand blocks, smelted them, and built myself a massive greenhouse.
Then I dug a private underground railway from sunset to my place... or, wait, I didnt... you didn't see anything. Stay off my property.
Next up I started visiting the nether. Found a LOT of materials. Then died while fighting blazes. Not to the actual blazes, but because I walked into a fire. Rage followed, and bitterness.
(lvl 25 at time of death )
However, I returned. And this time I brought home a few blaze rods, build myself a breving facility, pumped out some fire resistance potions, then returned to the nether.
I now have a short way from our main nether access point to a nether fortress with at least two monster spawns containing blazes. There is also magma cubes and ghasts. I have brought home vast quantities of materials, and set up extra portals
Im now selling all kinds of potions, legit glowcubes, and various other high profile stuff, if anyones interested Willing to trade for diamonds, as I have the WORST luck finding diamonds on this map. I have searched kilometers after kilometers of caves, and dug kilometers of tunnels, and only found a handfull of diamonds. Not even enough for a set of armor
Meanwhile Entity have made a nifty mechanism for my temple. When I stop messing around in the nether Ill get around to building a crypt underneath it. Also making an altar, with a LEGIT DRAGON EGG on it, donated by Itphes!
The server has also seen a massive boost in buildings, with sunrise gaining a town wall, and several buildings, and sunset expanding in every direction, x y up down, you name it.
Tl;dr good times!
Oh, and can we have another map update please?

There is a giant desert at 1500ish times 1100ish.
Really, resource depletion wont be a problem. The map is endless, after all.
I carved "ENTROX IS GAY" into a flat mountain face behind Sunrise.
I have resisted replying to this for a good 16 hours, but I approve of the message above.
Carry on, nothing to see here.
Today I build a monster... collector....?
Its a channel under a monster spawner (skeletons), which carries them out of the dungeon that encases the monster spawner, and drops them 22 (23?) blocks down, so they have half a heart left of health. There they are washed further back to a collection point, where you can step in one block below them, and hit them with a sword, targeting their feet (they cant shoot back).
You then collect exp and loot. Voila.
You have to "charge" the collector first though, by standing near the dungeon for a good 10 minutes or so (skeletons only spawn while you are near).
EDIT: Actually mine was a little different I think. If you carry the monsters up from the spawner, over your head, THEN drop them you can "charge" it while standing in the collection area.
Making a far grander and more general mob trap.
The project will involve digging out an estimated 8000 to 10500 blocks. The main room alone is 50x50x2. Soon done with it, so I would guess I have mined out 4000 blocks so far Taking screenshots as I progress, will make a poast with SHINY pictures when Im done.
Instead of a 50x50x2 do 3 or 4 stacked 18x18x2, it'll go A LOT quicker and be about the same efficiency.
Its done, but its no way near as effecient as I had hoped
Took screenshots, but realised it looks like every other mob farm out there, so cba
Climbed a mountain, build another 142 blocks up. Made a mob farm where they spawn on pressure pads, then gets pushed of by pistons. No mobs are spawning. Ever. Anyone got any idea why?
And yes, Im more than the 25 blocks away that is required
I have completed the Malcolm Lowry Downward Spiral spiral waterslide. It's at the end of the large pier in the east of Sunrise. The basic concept works exactly as intended, carrying the rider from an elevated platform that winds around a central pylon, eventually delivering them to a water landing under a volcano I built. It's a slow ride though. I'd anticipated the rate of travel would be about twice as fast as it actually is.

I installed fuckin Dirk Magnum Island (in the south near that red pagoda) upside down though :O
Fortunately Entrox Is Gay Mountain (almost dead center in that narrow part, east of Sunrise developments) is optimally positioned.
edit: damn people have been installing some pretty cool stuff lately. If only there actually was an airship you could build to explore with.
