Making a sheep farm atm. FUKKEN SHEEP. They just wont do as I want them to. Lure them into position with grain, select glass to lock them in place, sheep goes "nope!" and magically escapes.

So I finish my sheep farm, and go to find some red dye (only colour I lacked).
Upon my return, 27 out of 50 sheep had escaped.
I enclosed them in a 1x1x2 room surrounded by glass, except for 2 sides at the foot level (for shearing access).
I also made the "roof" double glass blocks, since they kept warping through it earlier.
FML. Was a major pain in the ass to herd those sheep in there, only to have more than half escape ...
Farming is terminally broken in SMP. We need Mojang to fix it.
The only thing I've seen that gets around the problem is having water currents from the fence line pushing critters back to the centre of the pen.
Mojang just released an update to minecraft. If you like playing on the server, don't update your client until I give you the go ahead.

I have been encouraged to post some pictures of my current project. Please keep in mind that it is work in progress, and that to show just a general picture of it, I ended up taking 81 screenshots. Obviously not gonna post that many, only 7, but it also means you wont get "the feel" of it completely. A lot of stuff is also underground or inside buildings.
All of it was made in survival mode using legit materials.
Edit: Including the tower made entirely out of moss stoneand not to forget the mountain section I stripped completely of dirt using 60-ish iron shovels

btw its safe to update, you can still join with 1.2.5 even though the server isnt updated.

You could easily write a script that pings you anytime someone posts the word "down" to this thread (just don't tell us youve done that)
or you could probably just ping the right port on your server every so often...

What are the build rules? I'm replacing tree's as I cut them down, if there is no-one using some space am I free to build on it?
There are no rules. Build yourself a dirt and cobblestone house surrounded by noob towers.
