do you play BF3 and get angry because the M16s don't break all the time, the F35 actually moves and a headshot from an MP433 won't instakill or leave your internet soldier in a coma to be cared for by the state until someone accidently unplugs the lifesupport instead of the dyson? considering AC is about sitting in some machine and extracting and replaying genetic memory and you can hit a button to get some sort of ESP and carry a small army's worth of weaponry and still clear 20m jumps, oh and lets not forget diving a few hundred metres into a haystack and surviving... i actually (and i'd imagine the vast majority of people) don't give a shit that for you to pilot a sail-powered warship you don't have to contend with woodworm, having to take time out of your busy schedule to deliver some sweet lashing to the lazy powdermonkeys or die from scurvy.

Yeah the first ship being instantly destroyed by what looks like about 20 cannons is stupid. So are a lot of things like the speed of ships, reload speed, etc etc but I guess Assassins Creed isn't known for realism.

What is wrong in Revelations? I recently finished Brotherhood and planning to get Revelations next.

I think on reflection i'm not bothered by the lack of realism....it is after all just a game.
It's more the utter silliness of the whole thing. I mean, if you go to the effort of doing a whole ship sailing/combat mini game, at least make the things behave even a TINY bit like sailing ships, not speedboats with automatic cannon.

    Dunno, just seems....dumb.

    Looks pretty though.

The fact that it's simply a rehash of Brotherhood, just with :bombs: and the hookblade. Storyline was shit.

    Picked this up yesterday:

      Spoiler:

    - I feel like AC3 got the Kojima Treatment. I've been playing through 3 DNA sequences now, and about 6 hours game time, still have yet to actually see Connor or play as him. I have to play some English Assassin named Haytham who is probably Connor's father. Edit: NEVER FUCKING MIND HOLY SHIT A TWIST, YOU PLAY AS A FUCKING TEMPLAR, NOT AN ASSASSIN FOR SEQ 1-3.

    - After AC2 and AC:R solved all the bullshit regarding travelling, why did we have to come back to AC1's non-fast travel (it's unlocked of course, but you still have to go all the way there first) system? That shit was retarded and one of the biggest flaws of AC1.
