    Highlanders 19-17 over the Hurricanes.

This now means after 4 rounds, my team is the only undefeated team in the competition. Which of course means the rails are just about to fall off I'm sure, but I shall enjoy this rare moment for what it is nonetheless.

England utterly destroyed us. Lot of mistakes made, was annoying to watch really. Think we only made one good break throughout the entire game and never really looked like it was going to be a close game. 9-6 at half time was the closest and even then we were lucky it wasn't 9-3 going in at the break. Props to england for outplaying us.
I watched the wales v france game aswell, which was great. Wales just completely took apart (a subpar) french outing and I was delighted to see them take the grand slam again.
Wtf has happened to France though?

Cooper was never the reason for the poor performances, he's just egotistical so people like to blame him. Question for the people who hate him: who do you think would do a better job?

The other week at the Brumbies Waratahs game:
      Spoiler:

Good first half but the Tahs were back being terrible in the second half.

I don't know enough about Australian rugby to suggest a better first-five (Barnes is more of a 12 isn't he?), but I do rate both Bieber and Beale as better kickers.

Tonight's games were real contrasts: my boys the Highlanders outlasted the Bulls 16-11 in a physical game in Dunedin, while up the road in Christchurch the Crusaders slaughtered the Blues 59-12 (lol). Quade's Reds are up next v the Lions, I'd expect the Reds to take that one.

Barnes is Waratahs 10 atm and he's certainly a better kicker than Cooper but that is all he seems to do at times. Beale's line defence really lets him down and he's much better at fullback. I'm a big fan of running rugby so I'd much prefer a 10 who will hit the line from time to time as Cooper does.

Decided to stay up and watch the Waratahs game from South Africa. Dull game. Kicking duels interspaced with silly mistakes and way too many penalties. I should have just gone to sleep. It's ridiculous that Sarel Pretorius is playing off the bench, he was their best player for the first couple of games and now he only gets 10-20 minutes at the end of the game.

Well the first State of Origin game this year was a farce. Clear knock on and they give the try, a bunch of terrible decisions and simple retardation.

Rugby League going from low to low.

    e: here's the "try"

He didn't knock it on, it was intercepted by the other guy's foot.

Also, was there any biffo? That's always the best part about Origin imo.

That's another of the dumb decisions, there was a small get together in the middle of the field and a NSW guy got sent to the bin.

    It wasn't even anything.

Pfft, yeah that was pretty tame. Glad I didn't stay up for that.

Bamp for bonus point Highlanders win over the Blues 27-20, that takes them to 6th on the Super Rugby table. Pity they won't get any further than that next weekend, they've got the Crusaders in Christchurch.

Good god Scotland have finally won a game http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/18331628 beat the aussies which is always good but still no trys scored and sounds like we were under siege in the second half so looks to have been a good defensive performance from the sounds of it...

Can the Irish beat the All Blacks for the first time ever this sat?

The drunks are coming off a strong season, All Blacks with a bunch of new people, haven't played yet and are traditionally slow starters for the year

Wigan v Saints the other week had probably the best fight in a game of Rugby I've seen for years.

This round of internationals is going to be interesting.
    - I'm a little concerned England have screwed their chance of a strong showing in SA by trying to play too many games, but have a hope of putting an upset or two in, if their new found 'spirit' holds. If not though, they could fracture and fall apart. It's a stern test, as usual.
    - AUS/Wales will be fun. I'm hoping Wales can finally put the Southern Hemisphere beatdown on Australia, but they are a tough nut to crack at home.
    - and Ireland - again they should win 1-2 of them. *should*.
Or at least not get embarrassingly butfucked.

27-19 to Australia over Wales. A very good win and aside from a few bits in the second half the Wallabies were a class above.
