can't believe the RFU are interviewing stuart lancaster for the permanent england job. who else is there, really? nick mallet?

i know england scraped the italy and scotland games, and lost against wales, but the changes he's put in place already should guarantee him the job. if anything they should be interviewing for rob andrew's job, as he's a snobby dickhead who refuses to take responsibility for his actions and prefers to hang everyone else out to dry.

I watched the Highlanders v Crusaders on the weekend with my gf. She's a Crusader, I'm a Highlander. My boys won in the end 27-24 in a pretty good see-saw match, although the end weirded everyone out since the stadium clock was 3 minutes fast, and the Highlanders kept kicking it into touch to secure the win but the ref kept telling them there was still time to go.

The Uni I go to is the major sponsor of the Brumbies so I just picked up a season ticket for the princely sum of $30

Going to the ACT game this arvo at 3:30, bus it back into town to watch the NSW game at a pub at 5:30 and then the QLD game at 7:30. Should be an enjoyable day.

    double posting because fuck you.

So I was at the Brumbies vs Cheetahs game. 22C sunny and a breeze, I knew I liked Canberra for a reason. But in all honesty, today with a few beers and some mates at the rugby = greatest of all days.

A few phone pics (it looks emptier than it was since the far side of the ground was looking into the sun.) but still, 12k in a 26k stadium is far better than the 30k in a 80k stadium I was at a fortnight ago.
      Spoiler:

That was just standing in the main concourse behind the inner bowl. Pay for the cheap seats, stand by the expensive ones

But in all honesty, Bruce Stadium (Canberra) is pretty awesome since no matter where you are you are close to the action.

Also, I'm sold on afternoon super rugby.

I don't think the Cheetahs really deserved to loose that game, they looked damn good ball in hand, but hey, 3 points for a penalty means fuck playing exciting rugby.

And lol waratahs, you should have won that easy, but I wouldn't have stuck by you all these years if you made things predictable

Italians gave the Welsh a good run, not doubt about who was going to win before the game though.
Ireland V Scotland starting in a few mins, Ireland should take it but Scotland will give them a good go.

lol, 3mins game time, 2mins scrum time ....

Italy played their little hearts out. Our patience came through though - and was well rewarded. Though it was very difficult to play any rugby with the ref blowing his whistle every 10 seconds. I am very happy to have bought tickets for the france game last year when they are 60 quid, as they're going on ebay for about 400+ now O.o

This little brawl between Scotland and Ireland is a absolute cracker though.

    6 nations best nations.

by all accounts the first half was decent viewing. unfortunatley i missed it and tuned in to see the second half which was terrible, not particularly entertaining rugby.

    england beating france: whoop

great game as well, spent the last 20 minutes in a state of near seizure. ben morgan had a blinder, wingers (ashton especially) were absent.

i lol'd hard. Good work England - but please don't start thinking you are the finished article. France were awful today - their tackling particularly.
Ashton has been surprisingly quiet all season. Not that i think that's a bad thing - going down a peg or two won't do him any harm at all.

literally no fan or pundit has said anything resembling the opinion that england are the finished article? (all praise has been in terms of "really doing well for a young team just beginning to play together) o_O game was awesome, kind of sloppy and frustrating in the second half, but that was overshadowed by the 2 point difference and me eating all of my nails. good stuff

watch the replays of any england back running, he is always in support, his work rate is way beyond the rest of the backs.

true, but let's not forget that the act of winning a game of rugby is just another demonstration of our divine arrogance and misplaced pride.

That's sort of what i meant / intended to communicate. He's been a much better team player than the SuperHero he was trying to be in the world cup. it's good.

It looks like we (Wales) have our strongest side of the entire tournament out on Saturday for a hopeful 3rd slam in 8 years.
