The Irish deserved more than that, they didnt allow NZ to play the game they wanted. They were up 10-0 after 20 mins, and still led 10-9 at the break. With 10 mins to go, the score was 19-19 and NZ were down a man with Dagg sent off. O'Gara's long range penalty kick fell short though, and it was third time lucky for Carter's drop goal attempts with seconds left on the clock.
