    Hictors and Injectors

Tonight I flew a Phobos for the first time. Awesome ship, I have it fit with blasters and no Nos - it isn't for tackling Supers. I do have an injector, however.

Long story short, catch a Bhaalgorn 200km off gate, friendly Abaddon joins in and even though I'm injecting with 800s, he manages to cap both of us out simultaneously and warp (pretty sure he had 8 neuts).

That got me thinking, why am I using 800s? Wouldn't 400s be better for resisting neutage? What about 200s?

I can fit two 400s or four 200s. The 200s are more than enough to maintain all my modules minus the MWD (which takes 144 cap, so I could activate MWD + Focused WDFG). A Medium Unstable neut removes 180 cap, so the 400 would give me better resistance while actively getting neuted by a single medium, and would give me excess to help regen if I needed to run my MWD as well as other mods. But having four 200s means I'm able to inject more frequently which is beneficial against more than one medium neut or heavy neut(s).

I can't be the only one that has considered this; what do you guys think?
    Actually an '06.

Using 400s over 800s is not really worth it. You get less cap per second. On the upside with some good booster cycling you can inject just after a neut cycle and stay up.

    The timing issue is;
800s need one booster cycle and 10s reload.
Two 400s need 2 booster cycles and a reload to inject the same amount of cap as one 800.

It's wether you think you can time your injections after neuts hit. I would stick with the 800s and nail the point and injector cycling down. If you can get the point mid cycle when the neuts hit and then boost till the point cycles and reload then and you should have less issues with it dropping.

    The correct answer is Navy 400s or 200s, you'd get 3 400s in a T2 medium injector.
And yes, against neuts capable of removing at least 800 cap and where you want some cap asap rather than highest theoretical cap injected, you want the smallest charge that keeps you stable running the mods you need.
Lastly, multiple injectors, even if they're mixed sizes.

Navy 400s ftw! (Just in case more people saying it makes it seem like an even stronger case for them!)

2x Small Injector II actually is a good idea. I don't like losing one of my SeBos, but in the long run I think I'm better off.

Question is, with two small injectors, would 200s be enough? - No, not 200s. Maybe Navy 200s but you can only fit one 200 in a small T2 injector >:l

Also, h8 how expensive Navies are.

Navy 200s are enough if you're staggering them correctly. Although deffo think the medium injector is a better bet.

    Stop being poor.
