we didnt even bridge for that.. stargates work for BS's to who wouldathunkit
As I recall TISHU had a reasonably sized capfleet logged in and active for that, they just deflated when they noticed we were awake and had a fleet around. We were kinda hoping to crash a three way seeing as we counted a good dozen carriers on the TISHU side and thought it'd be a fun party. v0v
[QUOTE=Lord Maldoror;368415]I had a vindi in that fight too. Maybe you guys should do something about it.
As to my one character post: I posted a single character because anything more than that would have been a shit post about how...I don't like what you did there. Trying to respect Grarr as he's actually a p chill m8r.
Heh. So I'm otherwise engaged with other things when cass grabs me and says i need to run the start of his thrasher op. I log in and don't check anything(think clone) and grab some people and we form up on a titan because we don't have time to roam down to s-u before they would kill our poco.
I get people on the titan and cass has some computer shitting the bed issue. We finally get a cyno and we bridge in our mighty thrasher fleet(plus two moros and a rorqual in case we end up killing our own poco so we stop getting mails). Their cane fleet immediately warps off of the poco and to the station we cyno'd in on, only to dock when they land(I think we killed one ship). We warp to the poco and after ben takes a detour to go kill some belt rats, we get started on killing it. Both moros land and siege and we start chunking the thing.
Bacch announces that their fleet is back on scan at the station, then he loses them. We get their cane fleet on scan at the poco and cass gets ready to call targets. One of our genius dictors decides to bubble up our caps to make sure thrashers keep tackle on canes???? Cass screams and then starts calling targets until he's killed soon after. We get pretty much wiped and lose a few expensive clones(I lose a LG snake set cass bought me a month or two after i joined Stim). At this point we have two sieged moros and a rorqual tackled in their home system. It was decided that there was no reason to lose caps here, so we let them kill as much as they could(we knew they would leave if we brought more caps in) and then jumped in some carriers. They took off and we decided that we might as well rep the poco since we had the carriers there already.

That's about it.
Sounds like a fun (if expensive) evening...Though I do have a question.....
http://sedition-alliance.com/KB/?a=k...l&kll_id=10472
That is on their KB and not yours....None of your people are on it....is that a *SECOND* POCO you didn't defend, or are they faking the mail or something?
They waited a couple hours and finished killing it. Our carrier fleet didn't have shield reps (as they were a save booley's retarded moros fleet not a poco repping fleet), so we left it at full armor and ~10% shields, which meant that it would just die instead of getting reinforced again. None of our people are on it because it was killed more than 15 minutes after we stopped shooting it.
I just added it to our killboard, it appears the API has issues pulling poco mails.
YAY! Flying Dangerous finally came and fought us and it was a Great fight! Thanks guys was fun =]

Quoted from Lex because today I'm too sick and tired to write one also. ._.
So there we were: derping around in 97X, bubble camping. It's not something we do often, but it does happen when boredom strikes and nobody feels like roaming around 30 hours to find everything running away from you. So we anchor a few drag bubbles in 97X and get a hictor with us on-gate. We kill some stuff, including an Apocalypse Navy Issue that we ganked before we even decided that we were actually gonna start camping. Several Flying Dangerous ships came through and subsequently died; first a full warp-stab fit Hurricane, then an Ares, and finally a Rifter.
After gently trolling a FIGL cloaky-rifter that was watching us, we had our eyes on Y9G station report some shield BC's and logi undocking and warping to their POS. They were feeling frisky enough for a fight, and so were we, but we weren't really comp'd for an actual fight (I certainly didn't want to engage with my bastardized PvE Legion that I threw a point on). At the same time, we didn't want to scare them off, so we opted largely for battlecruisers, which is what they mostly had, but we skipped out on logi; again, not wanting to scare them off. We rushed off home and reshipped as quickly as we could and split the fleet up slightly on the way back to Y9G hoping to bait them a little. They engaged Justin's legion on the 97X gate in Y9G as the rest of the fleet was gradually piling in from Conomette and warping in, and the fight began.
We quickly deployed ECM drones and got jams on at least one of their basilisks, and their other basi and scimmy were unable to keep up the other ships as we gradually broke through their reps and forced their logi to jump gate, as they failed to pull range. Same deal with their blackbird, it stayed near the gate the entire time. A few frigs for tackle and ECM landed on the field to provide support but were insta-popped as targets of opportunity between locks. A few of their members died, reshipped, and came back to fight, but were again killed.
In the end, we lost three hurricanes and Daniel's cynabal, and killed most of their fleet, despite them having logi/ECM. We held and looted the field, and then killed a silly derp Omen who jumped right into us, despite knowing we were on the other side of the gate. Major props to FIGL for bringing the gudfite and stretching their legs outside that station of theirs.
Oh, and then Leadface derped around with a drake shortly afterwards, got tackled and died, but managed to take down a Tornado, so *effeciency!* was preserved.
tl;dr, gudfite, we held the field/looted.

Saw Rote AHAC fleet leave TXW with 6 or 7 guardians (for hating logi so much, you sure did have a lot) something big go down? I'm bitin' my nails waiting for a riveting battle report.
We had less than half of seven. Not sure if your scanner is working properly.
I admittedly was drinking, but I don't recall us bringing ANY Guardians (and I think this because we got some nice loot and typically loot goes to the logi pilots and last night we didn't know who to give the loot to). 6-7 Guardians indeed.
EDIT: Battle report: We shot our own POCOs because the groups that RFed them didn't do us the courtesy of bringing a fight. We then killed someone else's and RFed another I believe while we were bored. Killed an oblivious Loki and a half-fit Daredevil, op success.

Since biting nails leads to bleeding cuticules, I'll lend some relief.
Some time ago, we toyed with the idea that POCO's would lead to fights. I liked the theory of it... go into someones home system, smash their toys, then come back in 24ish hours to finish the job. Kinda crappy that they tank like a small pos, so you can't really do it with a 10 man roaming gang, but whatever, it's worth it because we can all get in space and blow each other up. This, unfortunately, didn't work as people didn't come to save their POCO's. Bleh, we end up shooting at structures like some fail sov alliance.
But that's cool, we'll just drop some of our own, and let our stalward opposition pick the times of the battles (this is more fair to them, and we have spacehonoure). So, we threw a few POCO's down in S-U, and went away to wait for someone else to do the CTAing. So last week or something, one of our POCO's gets RFed, and we are pretty excitied about it, put in eyes, ante up a carrier on the poco, and see what comes to play.
An Agony roaming gang comes.
Well shit... that's depressing. Anyways, we come in, save~ the carrier, and leave because this theory of "poco's are for fights" is not as widely shared as we thought. Nam did a BR on it somewhere.
So, this shit comes up again last Friday, and this time I comp destroyers, because literally, who in their right mind doesn't like destroyers? I'm not sure if we have a BR on this, but it's a hillarious mashup of rorqal kills, and snaked pods from lost destroyers bubbled by our own dictors. Whatever, end of the day, we got a fight, kinda, and it's good enough for me. Op success. I mean until they docked up and cleaned out the POCO's hours later once we left. (gg static sov struggle in NPC space)
Anyways, SEDI came through with dreads and RF'ed AGAIN, with the timers coming out right in my normal roaming TZ for last night. This time, I'm more skeptical... I mean, every time I go out there, everyone is busy. It's just like high school dating again. "Sorry, I just disbanded fleet", "I'm doing my nails", "I'd rather date my hand", "I'm gay", "I'm married to the sea.". But what the hell, we put on the latex suits and come out again.
This time, however, there is a spin, in that we are removing all our POCO's from S-U in that they failed in their primary role, which was getting people out in space to fight. So, one way or another, we're getting some killmails. Fleet moves down, and we put a dread on our poco's to start the removal process... Local remains fully Will_Clarked about it, so we clear em all out, killing chump ratters who failed to listen to Will Clarks Advice.
Frankly, it was a good fight. We got to put some caps on the field, and FINALLY someone comped a fleet against our POCO's in their RF stage. Unfortunately it was us.
Oh well, science experiment failed. POCOs are for bearing, not for fights. Lesson Learned.
ASIDE: Fleet comp had no logi, only pimp. For logi to matter, someone needs to shoot. But pimp matters every time.
Er, we didn't bring 6-7 of anything, much less Guardians. The total count of Guardians was indeed 0. The most we had of any one ship was four Deimoses, I believe. Hell, at the end of the night, we brought ships home with armor damage, making it clear that we didn't have so much as an armor rep drone...
In the larger sense, we in Rote had heard about these POCO things supposedly "spawning fights" and "being worth fighting over". We are sad to report that this apparently does not reflect reality. In the end, we ended up killing one of our own POCOs so as to deny the kill-mail to others who invariably only kill our POCOs after we leave them in peace. I guess I don't have to say how depressing that is.
Hell, when the first timers came out of RF, S-U was practically empty... I mean, where was everyone? We can certainly rule out "roaming". Playing Tanks maybe? We got really excited when someone logged in in S-U, but it turned out he only wanted to change out his skill train. He was finishing up Exhumers V, I assume, and wanted to start training for T2 crystals.

So there was some activity during EU tz today. We (Finis) went roaming in Claymore, 4 Cynabals, Lachesis, Huginn, 2 Scimitars, Slicer, Jaguar first. Free Beers docked up so we visited Agony & Pure Madness next.
One Agony Drake jumped into us and died. He probably didn’t report our shiptypes because a single Agony Oracle warped 100 km distance to us. We were basically able to point and web him from our position, he had managed to pop our still sitting Slicer first though.
Pure Madness showed us a Thanatos and a Drake at station while providing us with lots of rookie ship kills.
After getting reports of a drakefleet of Avaricious Cartel near our homesystem we decided to head back.
We caught up with them (3x Scimis, Damp-drakes, Hurricanes, Lachesis, Harbinger, Heretic, …) in MHC where we instapopped the Heretic and pulled several of their ships out of repping range but lacked the dps to kill them off in time (Cynabals got damped).
Additional pilots had joined our fleet in the meantime, one of them warped his armor Hurricane directly into the hostile fleet which was our only loss.
Anyway, we disengaged, gf’d and were already sitting in armor BS only one minute later. They went 6e->ZVN->8-J-> M2 with us on pursuit (but out of scan range). Eventually they got pointed by Sanshas. We jumped in Devoter and bubbled up.
http://finisterrae.eve-syndicate.net...ed&kll_id=9688
Only 30 mins later Agony came with 3 Scimitars and several Cynabals for a return visit into our homesystem (you should do this more often). They also had several more ships in MHC. We kept our armor BS setup but swapped some of them to webbing Lokis. Sadly we couldn’t properly bait them because of d/c. They warped off and we undocked the Lokis which at least managed to grab a Scimitar and a Cynabal after jump.
We had a Dominix in Stacmon so we tried to bait some Ninjas in Ostingele next. They warped out before the Dominix could tackle them though. Fresh Intel about a Veto/Rote gang was already incoming so we immediately returned to the MHC-gate in Harroule.
The Legion we had sent ahead got their attention in MHC->6e where they aggressed him. Legion jumped out while one of our Lokis jumped in and tackled the Vaga. The rest of our fleet was already in warp by then.

A couple of hours after we put up a tower in 57-, AVA was starting to reinforce it. We got into armor BS (~12) + an Archon, some tackle and some Drakes. We bridged in to system, and half of our BS landed at the sun in infiniwarp, but we managed to keep our BS alive (Drakes and some support died) and started to slowly kill their mixed shield gang, about 30 people.
As their losses started to get bigger, they reshipped and came back in Damp-Drakes which limited the targeting range of the BS to about 38km, but after a well-timed approach to their fleet we managed to get some damage on them and took out some stragglers, so AVA flew back to 0T-.
Only BS loss was a Tempest that flew back into the FF and got volleyed by HMs while not being targetable anymore -

We then repped the tower with some shield carriers and took the BSes back home, when AVA deicded to come at us a third time in TQ- with an armor setup as well (Neut-Domis, some Scorps and other armor BS with about 6 Guardians and 2 Oneiros).
We quickly munched through their rep and had a couple of very nice kills, including some Guardians which we got on the next gate.

Was a fun fight, hope to see more from AVA in the weeks to come.

Smartbombs are pretty. Forgot to post these earlier; some RvB guys asked for a video from our POV and I'll get that up today.
Sometimes a story is best told in pictures. Jumping out:
Spoiler:
Loading grid while a very large frigate gang realises what its warping in to.
Spoiler:
First Impact.
Spoiler:
The glow is strangely serene.
Spoiler:
The 230 mails start piling up.
Spoiler:
Corpses.
Spoiler:
Refit on the carrier for guns and good to go.
RvB are awesome and were back in new ships in no time. I tihnk they enjoyed it as much as anyone. We do go for heavier EHP targets with this stuff too (the hard work is all in the timing of the dictors and coverts really) but this one had a nice look to it.

Reason he got away was i think because he somehow didn't land in the bubble but got killed by boring conventional means![]()
