I tend towards alt-country and americana. I have tremendous antipathy towards the country-pop/nashville sound. Generally, if it's played on the radio it's absolute shit.

The Cardigans did a country-ish album a few years ago that's pretty nice. Might be a bit far off the category though. Long Gone Before Daylight
