Is it possible to set it to only activate with fullscreen games? Or is it just a case of switching it on and off as you want to use it?

I am an eyefinity noob by the way.

Apparently they are gonna make it better for desktop in next drivers, by putting stuff on centre screen by default, similarly with taskbar. Rather than having it default to the left monitor. Also, in eyefinity mode you cant easily maximise windows to fill an individual screen etc.

What most people do is make presets in catalyst control center. Unfortunately the latest drivers (or something) seems to have broken it for me. Nothing happens when I click my preset now... Might be because I moved house and now monitors are in different order. Tried deleting and remaking presets but no joy.

I used to have a preset for "normal desktop", and two different ones for eyefinity (5040x1080, and 7680x1600 I think). My single 6970 can't run most games at max 7680, but some stuff does run ok. Most other things I turn the res down a notch.

Gotcha, I thought I'd seen something about defaulting to centre screen only for the desktop, that will be handy. Maximizing I haven't found too much of an issue by using Hydragrid, even with bezel compensation turned on. I'll have to try the presets, I didn't realise they worked for screen res as well, I thought they were just for 3D settings. At the moment all I'm really doing with it is eyefinity gaming, so the eyefinity desktop isn't too much of a bother.

I literally don't use/am not familiar with any other service. Everything else I know requires you to register or something. Do you have another service you could suggest I use? Would be much appreciated.
