Went to old friend's birthday do yesterday. Nearly chickened out earlier in the week, but didn't so that's progress I guess. Still did quite a lot of standing around not saying anything afriad to enter conversations, but wasn't TOO bad.
OTOH, also realised I was literally the only single person there which was quite depressing.
