You need Energy Grid Upgrades V to fit T2 MAPCs, Energy Management V is the actual capacitor (capacity I think?) skill and yeah, we "require" that one for "forever kiting whilst running like girls" combat.

Oh and Legion losing a Deimos to CFC, with a Rifter doing half the damage to him is why we keep him around <3

No it's Energy Management for MAPC T2s. It is indeed the skill for 5% cap capacity per level, but also only unlocks MAPC modules and Thermodynamics skill.
EGU 5 gets you T2 Reactive Control Units for 15% PG, and Marauders.

melt everything on approach. If you add 3% turret dmg implant its almost 400 dps heated ,
and if they get close and you somehow manage to track them, imp. navy multifreq does 412/474dps, with conflag it overheats to 529dps

you hit further and track better with dual light pulse lasers (due to the ancillary router rigs being locus co-ordinators instead). you do less dps, but dps has never been an issue for the coercer, with it being slow i'd prefer to be able to trackign things up in my face better.

coercer is still one of the most entertaining ships in the game though.

Was thinking could use the MWD to burn close to tackled frigs and burn them down fast with IN multi.

On approach or if webbed/pointed scorch still does very respectable DPS out to 22km or so. Might be some defence against kiters.

Fit is not too expensive. If you want to you could sacrifice a little range and lose a Locus rig for a anti-exp rig for those pesky Thrashers to increase EHP slightly. (6k approx?)

Similar to alot of fits on here obviously, but I quite like the balance it has. Only used in some 1v1 tests so far, not in anger with a gang/fleet.

I use almost the same fit, but instead of a collision rig I have a metastasis. Oh, and you should be able to upgrade two of your guns to Medium Pulses. I'm a stickler for using all fitting available, though.

If I was still playing I'd run with something like this. First fit for those hardcore space warriors that don't use implants.
I still don't really see why you would need a point, range is king for the coercer. If they close distance switch scripts and crystals to conflag, as long as it's not a an AB fit you should track fine.

I prefered the Coercer with 1 mid and 4 lows, but the TC makes it come pretty close. I also wanted to add that I've killed a Fed Navy Comet that was TDing me and ABing at 500m with IN MF in a Coercer... the tracking is ridiculous

I think it might actually be a bit better now. You couldn't fit med pulses on it, so DPS and range got a bit of a boost if you use the TD fit.

Edit: I think there's a strong case for the Coercer being the first ship that any pvp-aspirant should fly. It's an easy platform to learn off, has less "buttons" than a merlin/incursus, can engage a wide variety of targets, and requires less eve skills to be able to fly well. I'm considering writing a guide.

Unless you are being tded you shouldn't have any tracking problems at any range. If you are then learn to manual pilot. The tes and the bonus make the tracking amazing

Looks pretty good tbh. Makes up for the lack of a second heat sink nicely with the bigger guns. Now if only they'd impliment my Nanite paste repping armor/hull idea you'd be set for a solo roamer

EDIT: IMO drop the 24km to a Faint Warp Disruptor and upgrade the IFFA to a DCU II for 4mil less cost on the ship and a hair more EHP. (or upgrade the Fourier to a TE II)
