    Everqueust 2 - F2P on Steam

I've never played this mmo before, but have some rl mates who do. I've always been put off by what I felt was clunky and outdated ( even when it was first released ). Any how mate of mine convinced me to try it on F2P and it isn't that bad so far tbh, once u get past the horrible gfx it's got some quite interesting mechanics in the quests I've done so far. Reminds me of the D&D online game that went the se way a year or so back in that for free... It really isn't that bad.

Any ways I'm told also that PvP is quite challenging and fun, I'm on US server called Nafgen, which is where my mates are, on the evil aide ( forget its name :-D ).

I really liked EQ2 but eventually I had to decide between starting fresh, as a "nobody" in a game in which I was pretty much a total noob, or continue playing WoW which I knew from the inside out and in which I already had a significant number of e-friends.

The most I played was during the PvP system launch when I was in an European guild on Nagafen, playing the wrong class for the gank fest it was. That was mostly fun, but then I got kinda bored with levelling up and ended up quitting.

IMO it's a pretty well made game but trying to play now it feels like I'm really too far behind everything that's interesting, and I CBA levelling anymore. It lacks a certain polish and atmosphere I think, but I'm really sad other games didn't try to copy its crafting system (eg.).

Yeah EQ2 and Vanguard had similar crafting systems, and probably the best in any mmo out there, couldn't really get on with the rest of the game though.
