Ed: Actually, to seem slightly less trollish. I played SWTOR up until about... well, 1.2's release. The lack of rated warzones really meant there was no reason for me or my guild to continue playing, and 90% of them (I'm not even joking) quit this last weekend ready for GW2.

Agree. My guild is primarily PvE oriented, but prior to 1.2 we had a thread on our forums discussing eventual setups and people that would like to take part in this. Even for us (semi-casual/social, semi-hardcore guild) it was a big disappointment. End game pvp is retarded, at the moment im leveling 2 alts and im having loads of fun with some guildmates in low-lvl warzones. If they dont release cross-faction rated warzones soon, they will alienate even more players. Same if they fail to deliver more PvE content on time.
My guild was mostly pvp, we spent a lot of time theorycrafting the perfect 8man in preparation for 1.2 and then when we learnt we would be getting neither rated warzones or 8man premades everybody kinda deflated and either spent time derping around with lowbie alts or just straight giving up (like me).

Haven't logged in in a week, but when I did tonight, there were half the usual number of people on planets, and the fleet. Kinda disappointing, but nothing no one here didn't predict.
This was such a promising game...now, just another game on the scrap heap

same thing over here. nobody came back once ranked warzones were delayed, and now my fleet is getting slimmer and slimmer. warzones are starting to take forever to pop, and it's always against the same people. nobody buys stuff from the gtn anymore either. it's fucking depressing.
i created a clone of myself on the fatman server, but honestly, fuck that.
so did i...but the name i wanted was taken, so i went with noobcake. I played the first 10 levels and said "fuck this shit". I have 0 intentions of renewing my subscription, especially because so many people are speculating the game to go F2P before long.

To be fair I played in the beta events and it -was- fun, but it was clearly gimped by EA MONEY OVERLORDS forcing it's premature birth. If they'd had six months or a year to fix the graphics and get feedback on how to do proper PvP, it might be in a better position to sustain subs in between content patches. As it stands, well...
Well, if you think of patch 1.2 as being what Bioware would have originally released if EA didn't rush them, it's still not a very good game.
