Although the first month from Rifts starts to get rather cheap, €20 on steam. €13 from game key sellers. As regular, not "special offer" prices. With those it can go even cheaper. That puts it well into the impulse "lets try it" area.
How SWTOR will fare beyond the first 6 months or so will depend how well they do with the endgame. I doubt a lot of people will still do much of the sub-50 content by then. Leveling up is far, far more enjoying than in WoW, but that only goes that far. Once you have played a class to 50 on both sides the fun from it will drop rather rapidly. Class quests are only about 10-20% of the stuff you do, so if you do another class of the same faction to experience it's story it will be a lot of "same old, same old". The story focus is great for the first playthrough, but after that it becomes something you just skip.

Will probably play this for the first month or so and run thru the story lines on both sides and not play it again, a bit like I did with WoW. End game repitition never really interested me, I'll run all the dungeons once and thats enough.

Not really a big Star Wars or even a Bioware fan so, unsurprisingly, this failed to hook me. Will probably buy when it finally goes on Steam on one of its holiday sales.
will get as i cant find any other mmo to try and im sort of itching to play one. Shoudl be good for a month or two i hope.
Will ignore it for 6-12months, sub impulsively, find nobody is playing it anymore, shrug shoulders & let sub expire.

It's an MMO, default setting: terrible.
I loved it! Its what I expected it to be! Only thing I was worried about was the combat being shite, which all the videos made it seem. Its not so bonus!
Hurrrr, I still love all the Star Wars fan boys who will shell out $15 a month to be re-fed a direct WoW clone with updated graphics and half naked Twileks.
