especially vs Amarr:

Tengus melt under the amount of Incoming damage, being approximately 1k dps worse off at 60/40 Em/Therm.

Though i'd genuinely not thought of using a Broadsword..... a quick eft shows 2.2 vs 2.7k tanked, which should be enough for most of them.

It takes about 40 minutes to do a good mission with just these two, but often there's a little gang of us, add a couple of Blaster Proteuses (proteiii?) and the Lp /Tags /hr is rather good.

With a bit of swapping around, you can dual box almost all L5's using this and a shield throwing Tengu.
pyfa's still being a bit crap, so can't test whether a shield harmonising Tengu + mindlink gives more effective tank than a less EHP/Resist / more shield throwing Tengu, but i doubt it.

gets a better tank if you drop 2 lse's for another 2 resist amps, also allows you to fit 425's to it instead and if you drop the cov ops cloak you can get around 340 dps out to 30km with the projectile scoping subsystem (incl. drones) its also possible that an ab would increase your tank more than the 4th resist mod

Have you actually ever flown L5s? I've fieldtested my Tengu quite a bit and while there are a couple of missions where its really dicey to use it, i do know a corpmate who actually pimped his tengu a bit more (and had good compensation skills) and did everything in it, i think even without shield transfer. Your greatest concerns for your tank are webs, since you can speed tank a lot of the heavy damage coming from bs hulls.

That's the fit i used to fly, but flying to system / refitting / flying about is too much effort, or uses a scout char. This can scout & tank etc.

Even with that theoretical 300+ dps at 30km, it's usually a waste of time as if you close in on those Amarr BS, they end up all over the place, adding a significant time frame to looting. I dropped to a covert system as it got irritating, and didn't return enough to be worth while. Broadsword though hmmm....

Not when insta-neuted to 0 cap remember neut towers respawn etc.

I use deadspace hardeners and faction ab in this but they really aren't necessary.

So are you belt ratting with this ?

For sec building in belts then get an Enyo for >1/10th the cost and will do the same thing but can actally pvp inbetween and run gate camps, you need enough DPS and tank to but a BS down in short order, a enutron/nos/SAR enyo does this easily.

If for living in null and running anoms then get something bigger with more DPS and range, the range on medium ACs is far too short to be efficient ratting, serpentis BS rats like to sit at 50km, this does maybe 600-700m/s under AB, so you are wasting a good 40s burning between NPCs just to get in range.

I'm using this out in null for belt ratting and CAs. Just ticked over 10m SP so I don't have that much of a choice in what I can use. having to burn around to get in range sucks but everyone using the loki for pve will be in the same boat.

Obviously lacks a web, but I didn't find I needed one, most frigates were quick and easy to kill. It's tight on C3 Radar and Mags, but runs anoms flawlessly.

Copied the thing from an old MWD fit and forgot that sub. Fixed. It's been a while since I was running C3's, but never had issues with frigs, the cruisers with web and neut were a bit more of an issue, but even webbed to stupid slow could still keep the tank going easily.

Why does everyone insist on 5 gun + probe launcher fits on their WH PvE T3s when you can run 6 guns and fly with a depot to switch to the probe launcher? 5 guns takes forever to kill anything. This is how you run C3s in a Loki:

The extreme EM/Therm bias is intentional, as all the exp/kin damage from sleepers comes from missiles which do absolutely no damage to you when you're moving and still do only about 40% damage to you when you're mass-webbed due to sig tanking. The AAR is there to run while you pick off webbing frigs on certain waves, and the single rep is more than enough tank at all other times.

How do you kill them? Barrage?

I almost always had EMP loaded, however I don't remember how I handled the issue of the cruisers, I'm not sure I ever had issues applying DPS to them. I think they just always strayed inside range, or maybe I did load Barrage.

Looking for a ship to solo C3 anoms and I can fly the Loki or the Proteus but not the Tengu or the Drake or Legion. I've heard the Proteus is worse than the Loki for WH PvE, so thought the Loki is probably going to be the best thing I can fly (unless a Sleipnir would be better?).

Does this fit look OK? Not quite sure what C3 anoms need, but with my skills this is >822 DPS tank with all resists over 80%, Cap stable at 48% with hardeners, AB, Shield booster and Cap booster running. 450 DPS with drones and non-faction EMP ammo.

Is this going to work OK? Is the tank overkill? Will the cap be alright (there's neuting sleepers in C3s right?)? Should I swap the shield boost amp for a tracking comp?

This is about my limit for bling - wouldn't want to go much more expensive than this at the moment. I'm also open to suggestions for other ships as long as they're Minmatar or Gallente.
