"You give me the awful impression - I hate to have to say - of someone who hasn't read any of the arguments against your position. Ever."
saw a game called Predestination earlier and it looks like it might be quite nice. Appears to have a fair amount of detail and some cool features. Beta some time in 2012 as well i believe
Spoiler:
edit: Also updated OP removed some games that are "old" and added some more newer ones.
Predestination is also coincidentally being produced by an EVE player (me) and a small team. The first beta should be out within the next few months, which will be a test of the fleet combat system. Then I'll be adding other gameplay elements to the beta as I finish them, and hopefully by around this time next year everything will be in testing and we can polish the game off. You can sign up to the beta at http://predestinationgame.com/qcon and we'll send you out a newsletter when we get close to the first stage. We also publish ideas and gameplay prototypes frequently on the site and use your feedback to iterate on the prototype until it's solid, so you can help out by commenting on the blog.
Also signed upto the beta.
Loving the Hex system they announced the other day. For movement its going to actually matters which way your ship is facing so that to turn around and go back in the direction you just came from takes extra movement points as you have to turn around. Dont think i've seen that system before and it sounds like its going to add another cool dimension to combat.
The binding of issac is pretty win and is something I have been playing a lot recently

Over 200 hours on the counter. Managed to complete the last challenge yesterday (The Purist - no starting item & no item rooms, have to kill you-know-who. Got book of revelations early, battery and nuns habit = effective immortality. Also brimstone from a demon beggar). Even cleared the bonus level on that run. Good tiems.
Vulnerant omnes, ultima necat.
I agree with this whole-heartedly. Is the DLC worth getting? I read up on the new items, and felt more comfortable staying with the original game release. The other indy game I've logged many hours playing is Dungeons of Dredmor. I also didn't get the DLC (Realm of the Diggle Gods) for this game, but I enjoyed the new free community add-on classes with You Have to Name the Expansion Pack.
Edit - Signed up for Predestination too.

Also seconding Dredmor, spent lots and lots of time with that. Need to play it more, didn't have much time to explore Diggle Gods dlc and the newer updates.
