No this isnt a complaint about the current PLEX price, its a public service for all those people wanting to come back to eve via the 'hours for plex' option, and dont want to waste their 5 hours while the PLEX is so high.

So, what I would like people to do is whenever they are on and notice the PLEX price (perhaps you just bought one and you thought it was expensive/cheap, or perhaps you are selling one) please bump this thread with the new lowest price (and where).

Currently in Rens the lowest price is 448Mil.

Do you mean to imply that the price of PLEX is being manipulated upwards by CCP in order to drive sales? Would not be surprised if this were indeed the case.

To me, all the PLEX bundles lately mean exactly the opposite, CCP trying to drive the price down.

My personal guess about the price is, as conflict has stagnated in 0.0, fewer ships are destroyed. Also, many PVPers, including the more casual ones who sold PLEX, have left the game. This leads to less PLEX supply. Meanwhile, I don't think many PVE grinders have quit, and many people are playing skill training online while waiting for the expansion, and so paying with PLEX where they'd have paid cash before. This means the same, or more, PLEX demand.

Well I now pay with PLEX becasue I'm super fucking unemployed and broke IRL. Means I can grind missions and I can't pay earth-money, perhaps RL ecconomy is a factor.

It seems to have pretty much synchronized with the recent rage unsubs. It's also a reasonable assumption it's a supply/demand thing - prices drop in eve when everybody is .1ing prices, take some of that surplus away and prices rise.

I guess the kicker will be if the winter expansion is successful and players come back - does the price drop again?

So do PLEX get expensive when RMT ISK gets cheap, or vise versa? Swagvault is still far cheaper for buying ISK than plex, so I would say RMT drives plex prices.

Why would someone buy plex for isk when they could use a throwaway account to launder RMT isk and still come out far ahead?

It had been hovering just above the 400million mark, but on Thusday morning I literally saw the sell orders getting systematically cleared out and the price jumped 25 mill in a few minutes over a couple of regions. I put up a buy order and was able to pick up a handful at 400mill in Metropolis. But, the rapid price rise does point me to a possible organized manipulation attempt in response to the Power of 2 promotion.

Well, 1 account expires again in like 10 days (go the $5 resub) and the last one expires in December, still.. I have quite a bit of isk on that one but im not gona buy a PLEX at 450M.
